please rework the drift club
i hope it goes without saying that the "mexican drift club" storyline has been made by someone who knows NOTHING about drifting as in a tradition of what the characters talk about.
not only are the cars getting wierder and more unfitting, they look like actual racecars not importers,
but also the final event is drifting in a tight city with a dropped down rallyecar and a big fat heavy electric suv wich is NOT good for drifting.
yes it can drift but only because the tires take no grip at all
its too heavy to be controllable in a small enviroment like a city and it just dosnt suit drifting at all
the culture about drifting is slowly taking tight corners sideways and not a big chonk of whatever that thing is with a big unnecessary wing in the back
yes, neither does this thing not do its job at all but it also looks stupid doing it
im asking for a sensible retake on the drifting theme and the removal of that big fat mach e family sports car that is not a sports car at all on its size and weight
(i seriously cant understand someone taking that car serious in any way in that shape right there)
and yes i know what created drifting and no it wasnt highspeed modern muscle cars with only 4 gears to select so you always fly out of the corner when trying to drift in old fashionate 3rd gear
nothing of what you've done here is "exemplary in terms of tradition" as the ingame character called it and i beg for at least a good introduction to drifting thats not packed with action as if youd be on drugs or something, but a chill, reasonable start in drifting culture

Most of the thing just sounded like a formula drift advertisement. As well as an attempt to make the mach-e look cooler than it realistically is.
I'm having a hard time understanding what more you expected from it.
Fenya 4/abr./2022 às 8:28
you cannot expect anything from that car but i expected something cool when i heard drift club
i expected jdm
i expected culture
and i got all of that
just so the final boss of drifters is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ electric family car with a big ugly wing on it
never would i have thought anything jdm related to any of those cars especialy not an american family block of rubbish
im just disappointed after all this time forza has been around because i do think that they try their best at the game
but this is completely unreasonable and i hope they see that and fix that up
thats what i hope because im just a dude trying to enjoy a thing that some random people mean to destroy for me
some random people who may have more power more status more job more of whatever it may be
dosnt keep me from hoping for better times tho

They've shown off technological advancements and a drift car of the future. Look into the car, listen to the in game monologue.
World moves on and so should you. JDM has not been a requirement for a drift car and induction engine soon won't be either.

Ya'll expected a storyline?
I'm just glad it only had 6 chapters of cringe, that flew by quickly.
Fenya 4/abr./2022 às 11:23
the point is that the car isnt even good at drifting because its heavy af and that so many people already say that an electric suv does not deserve the name of the ye old v8 muscle car
its the complete opposite of the car they could've chosen
and jdm is the root of drifting
as long as i played forza there always were older cars telling history and how we got here
theres nothing of history, nothing of culture seen in the drifting "storyline" even tho jdm is such a cool thing at many different aspects
i dont mind advancements
but i do mind advancements if they completely missunderstand the reason of the subject they're in
and drifting isnt about going fast
its about saving time braking in a tight corner
and looking cool (not like an electric walrus on wheels)

I felt FH4's drift club had more love and I'd like to see more added to the drift club story in this game. More content is a massive part of the issue with this game as is the reliance on community made content. Give us some more drift club story.

Your mistake was to expect a coese storyline in this game.
That said, I'm pretty sure some people on Playground Games thinks like you, but if Ford paid them to promote the e-Mach Stang (because the dialogue while you drive it is pure promotional corporative text), what they can do?
TheHuskyGT 4/abr./2022 às 14:52
I skipped it. I love the game for other things, but I don't care for the drift culture, Horizon Stories and even less for any over-sized "Power Wheels"
LordOfTheBread 4/abr./2022 às 17:59
Don't know what the drama is about, I found the story pretty fun if a bit short. I did not find the story better in FH4 but in general stories (with few exceptions that were really nbad like teh delivery thing or the taxi or even that cringe youtuber story) were better but the car culture in UK is clearly a 100 steps above the one of Mexico.

That said I still have uncompleted stories in FH4 so that was never what sold me on the game.

Any car or truck can be tuned to drift. Even if it isn't tuned, any car or truck can be made to drift irl, if, you know what you're doing. Drift culture isn't limited to a particular type of vehicle or brand; you use what you've got.

I don't bother with the drift club in Horizon games. Why? Because their timed, because you're forced to drive what they give you, and because it's not about raking up points like (oh I dunno) NFS Underground 1, 2, Carbon.

To me, Drifting in chapters in Horizon is nothing more than another point A to B time attack with x amount of required points and an annoying time limit attached, and that is why I stay away from them. Tried it once in 4 and immediately exited the event; staying away from it in Horizon 5.

You clearly don't know anything about drift, it is fine that you're uninterested by it but saying "anyone with any car can do it" is pretty dumb.

It is now a real motorsport discipline with competition all around (Formula Drift for example). Safe to say that these pilots are professionals and there is a difference between you pulling an e-brake on a parrking lot with your 60bhp city car and someone drifting with 700+bhp in a car made for it.

Let us know when you'll manage this ingame:

The only complaint i have with the drift club story is that the missions are timed

I am not that good at drifting but when i get close to three staring the level and see the timer is at 30 seconds and i have to cover 500yd I panic and stop drifting as much as possible with the cars that are given.

wish there were no time limits or if they wanted time limits make them a lot longer so you can at least enjoy the drifting not rush to the end and drift here and there

should have done them like the drift zones where you can take your time down or up the drift section

turn off traction control and youll get the score fine
I enjoyed the hell out of it, but I sure as hell knew that this story bit was going to frustrate a lot of people.

Dumb huh, nah don't think so.

There's no denying that there is a motorsport dedicated to it sure, but I'm talking street dude. Don't think that drift is possible without tuning? That's fine, I don't care. It can be done whether you believe that or not.

edit:
Let me ask you this. Do you know how to drift? Do you know what technics are used to drift?, and I'm not just talking about yanking the e-brake.
