I don't play online, so I really don't care. I find it more fun to play solo. That way I can use every car and enjoy them however I like. This game was 100 dollars and I'm getting every cent back from that investment.
Let kids play with their meta cars and compete against each other if that's their idea of fun. They are free to do so. And don't let the majority dictate how you should play the game. You bought the game and it's yours to play it your way.
in horizon open we need something like horizon tour with pickups only races, cars from years 90. UK cars etc
there will be always 1-2 cars above the rest in each type of race but atleast we will have more variety
Of course, as others have pointed out, those cars are considered meta for a reason. So you also have to be okay with losing to them quite a lot...
It's the developers job to balance the game by reining in the meta cars (not banning them) so that they are more in line with their closest competitors. I haven't seen PG do anything of the sort tbh.
Another solution would be a new playlist, Horizon Pure: Stock cars and your driving skill. No tuning or anything of the sort. No joining mid championship. Everyone gets the same rental car based on the theme of that weeks playlist. To make things fair, if you start in pole position in the first race, you start in the back in the second race etc. In the third and final race whoever has the most points starts at the back and whoever has the least points starts at the front. This is to eliminate the random grid position system we have giving some people an unfair advantage.
I personally don't use meta cars that often. I like to mix it up. I have never used the boneshaker and never will. I have no respect for anyone who uses that car tbh. People using it are desperate to win at any cost.
I wish they balanced/nerfed some cars a bit, but I believe it's a thing PG isn't too fond to do. They ofc have a right to balance the cars in the game, but you also know this forum would be flooded by self proclaimed juridical experts, threatening to sue PG for nerfing their digital car that they bought.
They should also change rating buildup system so it requires several races to reach top tier, it was ridiculus that you could reach high ranking simply by leaving every adventure you don't dominate. Half of Grandmasters had exactly 1 race because of that exploit.
