I told them about some shenanigans/exploit in the auctions house, they just explained me how auctions worked and called it a days... Not counting my other 5 tickets which are forever in limbo
Yes, you can every easily backup the data for this. It is just folders and files. I suggest everyone backup data for games they play a lot.
Besides, you shouldn't have to backup in the first place...
He is not wrong tho.... this game is saved locally and on Steam if you activated cloud saves.
That's no excuse for poor customer support tho.
You do realize a save can become corrupted if the game crashes while it is autosaving? Can literally just create a zip-file of the save folder.. if you have a problem with the save, unzip the file and you have your save back.
Also, if local- and cloud save are out of sync, steam will open a popup asking which one you want to use/replace..
Can even use this method to backup wheelspins by the way. If you are unhappy with the result you just unzip the save and spin again. :P
If they discover you're doing that, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥... Do what you want, i won't risk it.
He is. You shouldn't have to do that, ESPECIALLY when you paid 50 bucks for the game.
And backing up savegames before preforming a format is allways recommended unless your playing an MMO where save are not local. Good examples of AAA games that have only local files and cost more then 50 bucks are.
*Borderlands or any 2k game
*Elder scrolls or any bethesda game
*Fifa or allmost any EA game
The amount of money you paid has nothing to do with where your dave is located. Microsoft can't get your data back to you because they simply don't have it, don't know what is so hard for you to understand here.
That said they could be mpre helpful in recovering your data from your own computer by telling you where the files are located and how to import said files but that's all.
If YOU formated or deleted files it is on YOU, this is not fanboying to tell you that you messed up and now want to put the blame on someone else for your own mistake.
Get over it, theres nothing anyone can do for you if that's the case or feel free to keep ranting as much as you want, up to you. Ranting won't solve anything tho.
That is partialy true, because you still need an MS account to store some further informations...
I didn't say that ! Nice strawman ! You know i only said that if i pay 50 bucks, i excepted you know... Not to have my save disappear ? What a prick i know !
However, now to prove you wrong, i reinstalled fh4 because of a PC reset... Guess what ! They had my data and brought it back to me ! Wow ! This is a groundbreaking technology, i think aliens may be secretely among us that's not possible otherwise !
Also, i didn't say i formatted files ? Neither do people that complain that their save has just disappeared for no reason by the way. I didn't say my files disappeared, actually.
You're just missing the point of this discussion entierly.
