low vram and system memory error

so before the December 3rd update I was running the game with high-ultra settings (ultra texture, high car details, MSAA 4x) and the game runs perfectly fine. Since the update I'm receiving low vram and system memory error even at low textures and medium car details. I open up task manager and it shows that I'm using almost 8GB of VRAM on LOW TEXTURE. my specs are:

R5 2600
RX 5700
16GB RAM

is it just me or is this a genuine issue? 8GB VRAM on low doesn't seem right isn't it

Task Manager -> Details -> Right column headers -> Select columns -> Check Dedicated GPU Memory -> Ok.

Least verify that all 8's being eaten by Forza and not like 4 being eaten by chrome.

bro chrome isn't even running. It is all occupied by forza plus additional 1GB of shared memory. This is totally a memory leak because it doesn't happen before the update

Just double checking you're seeing this for ForzaHorizon5.exe and not just the Performance tab which shows your overall utilization for the system?
Edit: saw your update.

Though if you're playing at 4k getting to 8gb wouldn't be out of the question, having AA also increases vram by a bit.

it's on 1080p with MSAA 4x. But then again, this didn't happen before the patch. I did file a report through forza support but no answers as usual

Yea, wouldn't expect that from 1080 even with AA. If you want workarounds try playing without the AA. Resolution, textures, model quality, and AA are generally the biggest increases in vram. But yea they f'd up, though unfortunately don't think there's any other channel asides from issue reports. Hopefully someone's got a better workaround.

Would also try windows mode just in case and see if the output actually is 1080, sometimes the resolution isn't actually what it says it is. Happens when I'm doing pip instead of full width, 5120x1440 says 1024x768 being displayed as 5120x1440 on a 2560x1440

i dont get the low Vram on my gtx 3080 at all but i agree the latest upgrade seem bad
memory leak still ingame
and now game freeze for 1 sec after every loadscreen which doesnt happen before patch

yeah that freeze, I didn't notice that at first but seems like I get those too
