Also.,. voice chat. Once you hear the first dude constantly yelling the n word you will want to find the solution to shut it down completely. Especially since we play with xbox people.
VOIP was already bad enough with people constantly eating their mics alone, before they had to disable it due to bugs - I don't know if they still have it disabled, since I had to disable it anyways for my own sanity.
Could just learn morse code with your horn.
So first you need a meeting place everyone on every server knows about, as you cant see other players that far you wont know who or where people are meeting.
Once at the car park, nicely park and said hi. Chat and sort a cruse or plan a race etc, then you drive off in more or less a group... Until you go past 150MPH or go more than 100 meters from one another.
Then you desync never to talk again. And back to the carpark.
This MP we have in Life is awful, a stupid way of doing MP in a creative, social and competitive car game.
At least have 64 players on a common server live in game (to do what OP wants) and then have people virtually blending in from other servers. Else non of this can happen without a session, let alone 4 stuff like car meets, cruising, drag races, drift zone meets.
I utterly despised voice chat -which I thankfully finally got rid of- and I am pretty sure I won't like people spamming chat messages during trials and playground games.
How new are you? Do you know anything at all about the notorious voice spam that has been haunting this game (and FH4) and how turning it off isn't tied to a simple setting?
It's an E-rated game, and the sheer toxicity that comes with a full chat (text or voice) is frankly not worth the effort to moderate. The community is already berating PGG for not getting the bugs fixed fast enough, do you honestly want them to spend a bunch of time/effort on chat moderation, too? They gave hundreds of options for Forza Link for a reason.
The pros/cons heavily favors the cons. It's not that hard to understand. You can disagree with their design approach, that's fine, but acting as if game developers should add every feature imaginable for every single user is silly and naive (and that's basically what you said in your comment).
Bold line is exactly what I was responding to. Everyone has features that they might want. Developers can't add them all, and often there are reasons why they won't/can't. We're both aware of those reasons. I'm not refusing anyone, I'm not in charge here, lol. Just stating that I don't think it's worth the effort, for the reasons we both mentioned and my own personal experience. Not sure what your problem is here.
