controller disconnected

game says controller disconnected when I plug in my controller. controller is not disconnected, it works on other games, just tried it.

A friend of mine was having the same problem. One thing that did the trick for him was opening Steam > Settings > Controller and checking if Steam recognizes the controller. If it does, go back to the game and it should work just fine.

I've the same problem with a xbox one wireless controller just with FH5

yeah, steam recognizes the controller but the game does not seem to @chiefGui

bump, I CANNOT be the only one with this issue. me and my buddy are both stumped, neither of our controllers work, him on an xbox controller and i on a ps4 controller

This may sound dumb, but allow me to suggest you install the Xbox app and Xbox Game Bar. Both are available for free at the Microsoft Store.

Again, a friend of mine had this issue and with all these softwares installed and trying to recognize the controller via Steam Settings, we got it fixed.

Yeah, I boot through the xbox app and have the game bar as well. It is super weird. I think it may have something to do with the cord used to connect the controller and the game. That sounds odd, because it works with rocket league, but I think the forza horizons game or xbox does not recognize the cord where as steam does.... idk idk idk

Bump, I also have a PDP xbox wire controller and I still havent been able to play. Works on all other games. My friend also has the same issue with a ps4 controller. Games borked.

SEE THATS so weird, cuz i just took a pdp xbox one controller and that one is working. the ps4 controller wasnt though. super weird

ps4 controllers have never worked for me on any gamepass game outside like 1 or 2 games, without installing ds4 windows, but I wouldnt recommended it since you might not be able to uninstall it and your ps4 controller will always be reconised as an xbox controller instead

I've some news ! When i use the xbox one bluetooth dongle the problem disapears ! When i had the problem i was using the mother board bluetooth (Gigabyte X570S AORUS MASTER) but the problem was only in FH5... Since i use the dongle i can play without disconnections.

ok i have a solution, create a profile with your controller on DS4, launch DS4 and the game. When the game run go to settings and tick "hide ps4 controller" wait few seconds and your pc ask u something, say yes. After that go back to DS4 and untick "hide ps4 controller" then go back to the game. it works for me, ps4 controller with usb.
