Cant play online?

i cant for some reason play online when i click convoy or horizon life it just says "this feature is blocked because your profile does not have sufficient privileges. Is there a fix for this?

Did you finished the first missions? You need a bit progress (finish the introduction missions) to unlock online.

I received the game a few days ago from a friend and for the last 2 days have been back and forth with both Microsoft support and Forza support trying to find a solution. For me all online play is completely disabled and I'm unable to use any features that require a connection to the Horizon Life server. As this is specific only to this game and all my other Xbox games have no issues connecting in any way I believe this is specifically a Forza Horizon issue and will hopefully be able to follow up with them in the morning.

I'll update if they have a solution that actually works, after reading countless forums and attempting all kinds of things I'm losing hope and am severely disappointed in the developers for having not addressed something so serious sooner. Wish me luck, hopefully I'm back with good news.

There is a setting in your xbox account that prevents you from accesing online, I don't exactly know where it is located but iirc it has something to do with parental controls or something like that.
Oh and also you aren't missing out on much by not having online, unless you like racing in lobbies full of rammer kids that use exclusively meta cars.

I had the issue with Forza 4, had to log out and login back inside FH4 to manage to get back online, was told by FH4 it was some 'teredo' issue, wonder if FH5 has the same kind of issues. I have not played in month. Perhaps something to check.
