Lack of video memory
Playing for like an hour on ultra and game says that memory of videocard is done and you need to close some apps or lower the graphics. Then i see "rainbow" on trees/grass.
Has anyone had the same problem?
im playing on evga 2080s.

yes happened to me asus rtx 2080 super 8gb vram, I checked and it was consuming 7.8 gb vram on ultra-extreme settings, honestly feeling bad about how the bad optimisation ruined everyone's initial experience

Lower the texture resolution. Extreme textures likely require 10GB+ of VRAM which most cards don't have.

Same
Well yes. You're using a 2090 super with 8GB video memory. the game will easily use 9-10GB on ultra. At least in 1440p. (3090 here)

that's system ram though, he needs to download more video memory ;)

Or hell, shame it's not a rockstar game where you can use a simple command line.txt file, add a few lines of commands and the game will use ram as video memory :P

u talking about that file you can download that lets a game use more than 4gb of memory?

You*

and no it allows you to use ram as video memory regardless. Back when i had GTX 460 768MB, i used that with gta IV when i had 6GB ram iirc and was able to max out the game. Did the same for max payne. Ran like ♥♥♥♥ maxed out though because gpu performance wasn't up for the task.

I've got the same issue on 3080 ti in 1440p, so I don't think it's a gpu issue. This game is terrible optimized. Constant lag spikes and gpu usage drops from 90% to ~30%

Try the studio drivers instead of the regular ones that you'd download in geforce experience. Forza might cry about the version when you start it up, but with the studio drivers i can play it perfectly fine and especially, as long as i want.

You can switch to studio drivers right next to the check for updates button (the 3 dots).
