Games CONSTANTLY slowing down but not really stuttering?

So this is weird, my game is constantly slowing down its like a heartbeat like im driving and then it looks like it goes in slowmotion for a second and then back to normal. I kept an eye on my fps and its at a steady rate all the time so I doubt its that? These are my specs Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080
Intel core i7-10700k CPU @ 3.80GHz
16gb ram
2560x1440, 144hz

No just steam and discord. My cpu should be fine though? I have 80-90% gpu useage. And my FPS aint dropping down during those slowdowns?

Have you tried playing with a different input device? Like with mouse and keyboard instead of an Xbox controller to see if the issue persists... I know it sounds weird but I think I saw something similar in a couple of games in the past

it's not the stop to a halt kind of stuttering. more like the graphics suddenly become "sticky" and slow for just a brief moment

nope your CPU is your Bottleneg.
My 3090 with my 10900k is every time...every second on 99% GPU Usage.

If you race through grad and tres etc, the CPU need power and then you will have slowdowns.

If your GPU ever not constant on 99%, there are only 2 options.

1 Options Bottleneg
2 Option FPS cap

ok third option, poor optimization ... but its not the case here.

I have the same problem. It suddenly appears after 2- 3 hours of playtime. A game restart fixes it for me.

same thing happens to me, feels like a jello effect. i am getting solid 90-100 fps on ultra but game slows down and speeds up like a wave. its annoying, restarting it fixes it. but is definitely an issue needed to be looked at.

Same here, a weird kind of slow motion effect for half a second every 5-10 seconds or so. Seems to start happening after a couple hours of playing.

Same here, have this issue since FH4. Game randomly slows down and then speeds up to "catch up"

Not really how that works, and optimization is an issue. You can try disabling all your overlays like steam or discord, or swapping to studio drivers which worked for me. I was getting that effect when anything HUD related popped up on my screen so it also could be a networking issue because it happens a lot in online.
