can't switch xbox accounts

the xbox login screen does not let me pick what account to log in with, when i select "sign in with a different account" it opens the same window again without the option to log in with a different account
same goes with the "sign out" button once i am logged in (with the wrong account), it restarts the game with the same issue where it does not let me switch accounts

Same issue; I don't know where or why it picked an incorrect account, but I can't force it to sign into my Xbox/Microsoft account that I use...

same issue here. It doesnt let me switch to my actual xbox gaming account it stucks me with the my windows login account

I had this problem but I only have one account, my windows account is my xbox account where i play and all. When first started the game it told me to choose an account to play with but when clicking on my account it just did nothing and could not start the game.

Then I tried to log in with another account and then clicking the option to log in using a pin or windows password (I don't remember what it was) That way I logged finally into my account and started playing.

I had this issue, as a temporary fix to play the game until they fix the "Sign into another account" button. I just created a new account on my PC using the login that I wished to play the game with instead of the wrong account.

i play on the wrong account for now as well, but i'm afraid to progress too much, as i know it will be wiped once it is fixed and i can swap to the correct account

Hmm. I did the local account thing and signed in, decided to swap back after. Still had the same issue on my main account.

I checked my windows account settings and noticed that my original windows account email (which is an old email I don't use for xbox and the one appearing ingame) was set to "allow apps to sign me in" The xbox email I use had it set to "apps can request to sign you in" or something like that.

I changed my xbox email account to be the same as the other one, and immediately launched FH5 and instead of automatically picking the wrong account, it asked me to sign in normally with email/password? If anyone else has this issue and has an old windows email account, and then another account they added for xbox later etc. I recommend trying this.

this fixed it on my end! i suggest everyone who has this issue to try this
unfortunately this reset my progress, but i'm glad to be playing on my real account

Where do you change these settings?

you can find these settings in "email & accounts" in windows, where you'll see "accounts used by other apps"
