FH5 turns off my PC completely.

Okay. So, let me get this straight. The game is in early access and that is fair however, I've had the same issue with FH4. The game would suddenly turn off my computer completely, not even crash the game. Just turn off my entire system. Now, I've played plenty of games with the same or higher demand than both of these games and I have never experienced something such as turning off my system completely.

I've looked for the same type of issue and no one seems to figure it out with FH4 and, it seems to affect people with same type of similar cards as mine. I really don't want to deal with the same type of issue with FH5.

Lol =))). I had the same problem with FH4 last week. It's not your PC. It's the game. I don't think that you can do anything about it sadly.

Check for the newest AMD drivers. Maybe that will help

Don't take it the wrong way, I am just trying to help. But usually these problems are attributed to the system itself. Either a bad OC (which I don't think it's your case), a weak motherboard, or insufficient power.

It just takes one specific action or game to trigger it. I've had this happen in various PC's I owned. One only crashed with DOOM at a specific level. Replaced the PSU for a more powerful one and it never happened again. Another only crashed with AC Black Flag after an OC. It would pass every single stress test, play more demanding games, etc. It was just that game. Gave the CPU a bit more juice and never crashed again.

These are just examples. There could be something amiss on your end.

This could be it. I've had issues like this that was fix by replacing PSU as well. PSU problems can show itself in funny ways.

PC shutting down can also mean something is overheating.

Honestly the 5700XT is just a garbage card it seems, besides when it actually works. There are TONS of reports of this card not working properly, as I myself am suffering the same problem for a whole year.

Some say its overheating, others say is just the PSU. However, I done all these things that I was suggested and none of them worked. BIOS, Drivers, etc, etc. Wasted money just to get this card to work. Unfortunately with the market of GPU's right now I'm stuck with it as this just convinces me to switch to Nivida for good.

This has been an issue as well for me since Forza Horizon 3, 4 and unfortunately 5. I had a RX 480 previously and had no issues. All these problems happened as soon I changed GPU.

Driver is also AMD ver. 21.11.1.
No Overclocking either.

What are your GPU and CPU temps when running the game? Did you actually try a better PSU after changing GPU? I'd try that before anything else, and if the problem persists, plug the GPU into another PC(friends or anyone really), install Forza and see if it does the same.

As others have already said, this sounds straight up like a failing power supply. Could also be an overheating issue though.

Do any other games besides this one/fh4 cause this issue? If no, then ignore everything else I type, as I don't have an answer.
Have you done any overclocking? If so, try dialing your OC back a bit, or even back to default. Your OC's are either pulling to much energy for your power supply to keep up, or overheating.
These next two are in case of overheating:
Is the fan(fans if you have an AIO with a 240 rad or larger) on your cpu cooler spinning?
If you do have an AIO, or a custom water loop, try to make sure the pump hasn't failed. You should be able to feel water flowing through the tubes if its working. Unless you have hard lines, but then there'd likely be a reservoir somewhere you can just look at to see if it's flowing or not.
If the answer to the first question is yes, but no to everything else, your power supply is very likely on it's way out.

I've had this problem a time or two myself.

I'm 99% sure your pc overheats because forza uses 100% of your gpu and it shuts down not to fry itself. Make sure you install msi afterburner and you see the temperatures or sooner you will have 1 giant 1000$ box of fried pc

Monitor your cpu temps, sounds like the load the game places your PC under is pushing your PC to the point it performs and emergency overheat shutdown.

If you're using an AIO it might even be a pump failure

I had the same problem, solution was, to use different powercables from power supply to GPU and not a Y-cable.
This cables should also use different rails on power supply, that means plug it left/right, not up/down.

Because a peak could much higher than one rail could deliver, then power supply breaks connection.

p.s. i use different Y-cables, but use only 1 plug of a cable. ;-)

Okay. For some reason its ONLY forza that does this. My card is supposed to and can run at high temps but, for whatever the reason, forza just uses basically 100% of my GPU & basically safety turns off my PC. FH4 wasn't like that at all and i basically ran the game at max settings without no issue. Any other game that had more demand never has done this. I fixed it by reducing my Graphic settings a bit to prevent it from overheating & i just monitor the Temps. However, with this game and how FH4 was like, it could just start having the same issues again later on during the year. Even if i were to decrease the Graphics.
