I have tried starting from root folder, removing xbl credentials, signing out of profile into another both in and out of game. Nothing works. I can't sign into my xbl account. Two hours I have tried everything. I'm not using a separate windows account just to play this, I should be able to switch profiles within the game, but I can't.

Nv, it works. I had to delete my profile and sign in again.

This worked for me. I got on the xbox app on my pc and signed out on it. Then started the game. When it makes you select an account, press sign in with different account. But just sign in to the same one. And that let me link my steam and xbox account and I am now playing the game.

not sure what all the problem is ... but while i was pre load i linked xbox account to steam.
as soon as i was finished download, i restarted pc log into steam , logged into xbox and launch game.

played for 2 and half hours non stop no problems.

This worked for me.
Signed out using the "Xbox Game Bar" app. When logged in via "select another account" it let me choose the Xbox account and works.

I had this issue,too, same with FH4. How I fixed it was by simply pressing Alt+Enter to go into windowed mode, and trying to select my account again. If it doesn't let you in, press Alt+Enter again to go into full-screen mode, and then Alt+Enter again to go back into windowed mode. Keep repeating until it works. This method also solves the issue of the endless-loading at title screen bug. I didn't have to re-login to my accounts or anything.
