Basically, search for "Credential manager" in the Windows search bar and open Credential Manager.
Click on "Windows Credentials"
Scroll down to Xbll DeviceKey, click on "Remove" and then "Yes".
Start the game again (I didn't have to restart my computer), click on "Log in with different account" or whatever it says.
Log into your account again.

This worked for me. All credit to the guy in the video. Make sure to give him a thumbs up and just let his video play in the background to give him some watch time. It's the least we can do :)

Deleting all saved XBOX-related credentials on the Windows Credentials Manager made it work for me.

Which ones are the Xbox-related credentials?

They all start with "XBL".

Microsoft Login Loop + my solution

Hope this helps others and sorry in advance for the vague details.

I ran in to the looping microsoft login issue. I tried all the manager credential suggestions, logging in and out on microsoft store etc and even tried running as administrator.

In the end what worked for me was to choose new login, on the next screen was a button for other login options. On the that next screen was github and another choice. The other choice wanted me to login via pin input and windows prompted for it. Thing is though forza refused to minimize and i couldnt get to the pin input prompt so i hit alt-enter which windowed forza, found the windows pin input window that was hiding behind forza window, put in my pin and walla. Login issue solved and smooth gaming since.

Hello there. Let me try to help. Go to your Microsoft Store on the PC and logout with your account. Then go to steam start the game and try to add your account again even if it shows that its there already saved and be ready to login with 1 click. Re-enter your email address then your password, accept everything that pops up and then you should be ready to go. Hope i was able to help, it worked for me, yet i slit cant play the game correctly since my wheel doesn't work, seems like a big problem for everyone almost with a Logitech G923 :(

Try escape, all other buttons on the board? Does it just get stuck there, do you check if it's still responding from task manager?
I wonder if this game needs a restart after install lol
