Why the "Ranked" removal is actual good.

To be honest, ranking in FH4 was just bad, it was super unbalanced many times where you own team had 10-20 rank players while the other team had 1-5 rank players and you could just lose even if the entire team was bad just because the other team had 2-3 rage quitters manipulating the score. One of the biggest problem's with ranked was that we couldn't choice the class or season we want, sometime you was forced driving with a unwanted class in you least favorite season like winter, turning ranked into heavily RNG based. Ranked was never skill-based, it's most the time just a "what team has the least players in it" gamemode and most people just play it for the festival-playlist. Outside of summer, ranked is just a death gamemode. Removing ranked in FH5 and only have non-ranked PVP events was actual the best decision ever. After all, we don't need a number telling us how good our skill is, winning in a PvP race feels good, even without a number that increase with every good race.

But what reason they will have to play now, that Holy Numbers That Go Up are no longer in game? Apparently, only casuals race for fun :-D.

Btw, did PG finally fix the matchmaker bug, where scripts would go into loop for 10-20 minutes between races? It's the only reason I play ranked, which doesn't seem to be affected.

They haven't even fixed the broken auction house after months of complaints about not being able to reclaim stuff. I won't say that your issues won't be fixed, but who knows how long the wait for that fix will be (if it isn't fixed already).

Personally, I'm ready to move on to 5 and forget that Horizon 4 ever existed, but that's me.

sounds like a reason to keep ranked going in FH4- or a selling point,, cheaper,, and does ranked,
While it may be RNG on the event type, it was still skill -based driving, because there's specific cars that require learning a certain way to drive, and then there's cars that are amazing on almost all terrains,/any angle corners, etc.

It's a very skewed graph in deed,.

could the OP make sure the title is correct removing TEAM ranked is not the same as removing RANKED. There are multiple ranked plays in FH4, not everyone would be so happy to see solo rank removed.
