Is this title FULL cross platform play?

My friend will buy on steam, I prefer to play via my xbox series x (better specs than my 4 year old laptop…). Can we do EVERYTHING together or should I buy on steam? Thanks and have fun all! Amazing game, can’t wait.

Steam <> Microsoft Store

Hi all,

If I buy this game on Steam, Will I be able to play with people who bought it on the Microsoft Store?

you're not able to play it on the steam deck unless you change the OS or add dual boot to it because even if you buy it on steam, since the game requires the Microsoft Store.

Yes it's crossplsy, BUT DON'T BUY IT ON STEAM.

If you plan to (also) play on Xbox you need to buy it a second time on Xbox, if you buy it on steam and don't have the same progress.

If you buy it in the Microsoft digital store you can play it on PC and Xbox, by just buying it once and have one game progress.

I'm wondering if the steam version can play with the windows version and xbox version or

the windows version can play with the steam version because I know it can play with xbox

Q: Does Forza Horizon 5 support cross-play and cross-save across console generations and between console and PC?
A: Forza Horizon 5 will support cross-play and cross-save across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10 PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Steam will have support for cross-play, but cross-save with Xbox is not supported.
