Please provide local-co-op
There are very few driving arcade games of this standard that offer split screen would love to play this on the couch with friends.

THere are actually a lot of arcade driving games. Sadly very few match the quality of horizon games especially in terms of content.

That said I don't see them offering couch co-op.

Yeah I am referring to specifically AAA Arcade racers, I own both other Horizon games, Burnout Paradise and NFS, just think it sucks how console gamer's get splitscreen in a lot of cases whilst it is assumed that all PC players only wish to play their friends online.

We won't get this feature but it would be refreshing if it was eventually offered with this type of game.

Split screen would be most welcome (for a lot of games tbh), and wouldn't be too hard on PC to render 2 points.

Sadly the days of LAN parties and people meeting up with mates with a controller to play together in the same room are gone. Its all 1 xbox per person, online. So its not worth anyones time to implement. Especially on PC. Sadly.

I must be in the minority I guess as I have gaming parties 4/5 mates over every week (*when permitted) and get stuck into all the multiplayer games that I have on PC.

The only time I ever play online is FIFA or Red Alert as I cannot dedicate the time to become competitively good with my other games as I have over 400 and it's no fun constantly losing!

Not at all. Last year I lived with 3 others and every weekend we all played PC and Xbox. BroForce, Spelunky, CoD Zombies, Overcooked etc
This year with mates over we have to play pass the pad or one of the handful of games that support it.
Cant play FIFA, get told I'm a button smasher.

Even on PS4/5 you need another account that pays for online, even if your are the guest of their system. Sucks!

A few programs exist on PC like:

https://universalsplitscreen.github.io/

Mever tried them so I can't say how good they work.

If thats the one that does Borderlands 2, it works fine. But sitting their with mates trying to set things up and work out why things aren't is a pain and often leads to Xbox.
PiP also works well with TVs that support it. Glasswire works but is a pain.

EDIT but either way with this it will require 2 Xbox accounts and 2 services. So 2 systems really. EDIT EDIT unless you can emulate the xbox API like SteamEMU.

Today the gaming industry is ruled by people who look at profits before anything else, its not about being fun anymore, that being said, you can forget about microsoft doing coop games, since they are EXTREMELY greed, this will never happen.

Every release, I have a check for a 4-player splitscreen mode…
