I mean, not really for me tbh xD
I personally would think that South Korean cars get drowned out due the past between South Korea and Japan. For me personally, Mexico seems much more fitting and it's a LHD country which means that I would be able to finally drive in First Person View. Japan is just not really that kind of country that I would actively want in a racing game. I'd rather want a country like Germany, USA or maybe some state in Africa. But yeah, I don't really think that Japan would be the optimal place for FH5.

Firstly...Japan is a "Sony stronghold", Microsoft also considers the Xbox (and PC) userbase that can lure to the game, in Japan thats effectively zero, while Mexico (and in extent, USA) are quite the opposite.

Very (probably most important) is that Japanese race culture is basically all illegal. Government fights against it and would hardly support anything like Forza "Japan".

Next is licensing, since the racing is nearly all illegal, especially street racing, and centered around car modification which is something car makers heavily fight against, Microsoft wouldnt be able to license many cars as everything from car manufacturers to government would be against it.

Edit: And from a technical side...Xbox would probably melt from all the japanese city architecture (lots of reflective glass), neon lights, signs etc. I am sure youve noticed devs tend to pick historical/"simple" modern cities with countryside and not hyper-modern cities :D

You have no idea what you're talking about do you? Not only Japan is home of one of two international race circuits but they also have quite the car and racing culture outside of what you've seen in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift.

It hosts Formula 1 Super GT and other vartious events like the FIM Enduracnce World Championship or the TCR Touring Car.

On top of that they also have Okoyama International Race Circuit, the Fuji Speedway (home to Asian Le Mans event) and the Twin Ring Motegi.

And the cherry on the sundae is the street racing scene that is still a thing to this day.

So yes, Japan would be a very interesting venue for a Forza Horizon game (or any car racing game).

As for your comment about Sony and Japan, Sony, in video games and fof the playstation, is more american than japanesze nowadays with teh CEO of SCEE being Jim Ryan and owned by Sony Corporation of America hence why all Sony first party studios are actually american.

We already had 2 Horizon games in Europe and none in Asia tho. And Germany being better is subjective.

Dunno about Japan. If I wanted to see plastic cities and vending machines everywhere, I'd rather go to Disneyland.

I hope next Horizon title will take place in eastern europe. Afaik eastern europe countries haven't been represented in any major racing game so far and there are no eastern european car brands in any FH titles, despie the fact that the game has a large playerbase there.

Germany is what you want, the most requested location from the fans is Japan and that's a fact. We got italy and the UK not sure why'd want germany. Japan is the next game whether you like it or not

I don't get why everyone wants Japan. Their roads seem rather small, with lots of tight corners. Am I wrong? This doesn't seem like the ideal place for good high speed races.

The most boring things there are in a racing game is to race in a straight, cornering is where you test your skills.

And there is also a few very famous highways in Japan with a lot of straights as well along with beautiful scenic routes.

That said there are other places in Asia with beutiful roads.

Well I hope you got microscope money, whether it's the best option or not is entirely on you. All I said was japan was up next and why.
