1050 TI will it be enough?
Hi everyone, I want to buy Forza but I was wondering if the 1050 TI will be enough to run Forza even if it's on low with some things on medium, I have an I5-8400 with an 8GB of Ram but I want to increase it further forward , I wouldn't want to be spending money on a better graphics card as the prices are not worth it and upgrading is quite expensive and time-consuming.

A 1050ti will be enough for at least 1080p30, so 30fps. Based off the fact that it has 2.3 teraflops of compute so a bit more than a base xbox one s @ 1.4tflops which runs Horizon 4 at 720-900p 30fps. 5 will be more detailed so I estimate 1080p 30fps.

it worked fine for me 60+ fps high settings then they updated the game and now it says my card is not compatible even tho i could play it with no issues before

Don't expect flashy visuals or 100s of FPS but it will run. Now is the best time to swap that antiquity tho.

I bet you have an HD Ready tTV o go with that DVD player, 720p hurts my soul at that point, especially when you can have a NEW gpu for 200$ that will play this gfame in 1080p ultra.

As I said before, now teh best time to buy a gpu, a RX6600 would make you foprget about how terrible the 1050 TI is and if you don't have 200$ the second hand market has 100s of cards that will be great replacements for less.

Spending 100s in games when you have to reduce teh resolution to 720p is totally not worth it. Skip a few games and buy a damn GPU.

This should answer the op's question.

it should be noted that the guy in video has a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

So that the gpu isn't cpu bound and you get the true potential of the benchmark. The op's stated system is more than sufficient as he has the recommended cpu and the 8 gb will only impact the higher resolutions. If he is 1080p gaming then he should be more than able to get a steady 60 at mixed medium settings since you can often lower a few performance hog settings and then use the overhead to bump up others with a better impact on visual quality. He will be fine if he buys the game since he stated that low settings are sufficient. However I'd probably just buy forza 4 instead as its just as good of a game and has somewhat lower requirements.

Or probably keep the money and invest on a better GPU, the 1050 TI was an entry level card in 2016, 6 years down the line it is barely usable toi play modern games.

If I read his op correctly he already has a 1050ti and was wondering if it would be enough to play the game as he didn't want to buy a new gpu. Since his cpu and ram are sufficient he should have no issues getting a solid 60 with some mix of settings.

There is a difference between playing the game and playing teh game in good conditions, I don't believe you can play on a 4GB VRAM card in gopod copnditions but if sub 60fps suits your needs, go for it.

From the video I posted it shows its entirely possible to run the game at a steady 60 with mixed medium settings.

The guy in the videop also has a 5900X, a 12 cores CPU that probably does most of the heavy lifting at 1080p but hey, feel free to keep playing on an entry level 6 years old card, I personally fail to understand paying 50+ USD on a game when money would better be invested in a way better GPU, especially now when prices are pretty low.

I found a 3070 second hand for 300$, I'm totally fine not buyiong a few games to buy that instead if I still had a Pascal GPU but that's me.

Buy an Xbox series X if money is tight.
