Hey Devs - Well made game but how about an easy mode?
I’m playing on PS5 and stuck at Icarus. I’m not alone. Only around 6% of players have that trophy, and that’s less than half the map revealed.

Agreed, and while you're at it, add temporary checkpoints for those platforming challenges, not fun running back after failing. The game feels bit overtuned in general.

The bosses are not too hard, you just need to die a few times and remember their moves. After that, you just shoot and avoid, they only have a couple and they are not that fast.

I freely admit I just don't like boss battles in general. However the bosses in this game really seem to have a big difficulty spike over the rest of the content. I was almost stuck at Icarus, and now I'm stuck at Night Stalker and trying to decide how many more attempts to make before giving up.

Exactly. The traversals are challenging but with the unlockable shortcuts, you can do them in a few attempts. Then I bang my head against the 3rd phase of the boss battles. They just take forever.

It’s a shame because I really like the game and the visuals are fantastic. But I’m never gonna finish it as is :(

Fact remains 28% of players on Steam have gotten past Icarus, about 6 hours of game and 45% map completion. Meanwhile, at least 22% of steam players have gotten one of the endings for Elden Ring - 28% have beaten Malenia.

Point is, your design should not result in 75% of your players seeing less than half your game. It’s either too hard, it sucks, or both. Since this game actually is pretty well executed otherwise… it could use an easy mode or another mechanic to let me grind for meaningful power to help me see more of its interesting world.

I think the big problem here is the bosses are all massive bullet sponges. The moveset of each boss is not that difficult, but when you have to spend so much time pumping them full of bullets just to reduce their bar enough to move into the next phase, it can be a bit off-putting in comparison to other metroidvanias.

I have to agree, absolutely tedious some of the fights, the health bar barely moves. Its more of a resilience test than challenging. My biggest gripe with the game.
Edit: Anyway, beat it and got 100%. The legendary guns made short work of everything. Last boss was a joke.

Completely agree with azuravian - every enemy in the game, basically, has too much HP. That, coupled with the range of most weapons feeling too short, makes basically every fight more annoying than fun. Good to know the legendary weapons break the game, but maybe there should be a middle ground.
