Gate-Breaking Potion

Guys I'm heartbroken. During the quest "A Matter of Trust" I unknowingly choose the wrong option (Pine Cone) instead of the Wreath of Dedication.
It there any way to obtain the potion or the recipe? Or will I just not be able to ever progress the story and the gate in the basement will remain closed forever?

You should be fine, you get the potion recipe no matter what. It's just the decor recipe that is one or the other.

Morphinomina is right: I got it too, the first time through after I too chose pine cones, and still got the (Cursed Metal) Gate-Breaking potion recipe later on...forget how or when, but we do get it. We need it to get at certain Quest items, including a few in the mansion basement.
This time through, Abrill & I made Good Money from that Wreath of Dedication recipe to buy Tools Upgrades, I tell you.
