I'm all set to find out, too.

One tip I was given, then tried, was to gather Seaweed. Plenty of it grows in shallow waters along beach shorelines—one NE of Barrow End's cemetery, another E of the Witch's Mansion, then a vast beach all along the shores of both Desert & Cliffs areas over to the Far SE Shipwrecks, all of witch are a huge treasure trove of seashells, seaweed, mines, digs, puzzles, along with hidden prizes, Oyster Fungus & Shiitake mushrooms aboard shipwrecks... Abrill & I can spend several days plundering its wealth.

Another discovery was Oven-Cooked Dishes—Garlic Bread, Stews, etc.—for me, Oven Recipes that give us 4-5 Dishes per Serving of Veggies, like Veggie Stew, witch go easy on homegrown resources, are the bestest.

Bonus: the Wiki also taught me that Turnips cannot be picked; they are potential gifts of the Paffti Shrines that also give us Paffti Leaves—10 are needed to upgrade the Farm Altar to max Level 4 (I think).

You can also find a list of the offerings on the wiki if you don't want to figure it out yourself. Some food items given to you by villagers in the beginning can be stuffed right into the shrines instead of eating them or re-gifting them to someone else (e.g. the boran sandwich).

ALL paffti loved gifts are cooked dishes, which you need to unlock first through quests, treasure chests etc.
Which specific dish is loved on a specific shrine is hinted through the liked gifts you see, they are always ingredients in the dish.
