In every other game I've played you either buy extra slots, or go to the store and buy a bigger backpack.
I haven't even attempted to solve any puzzles, I spend most of the time running around gathering items for quests, and then run around trying to track down the npc to turn in the quest.
The more I play the less I'm liking this game, they made it way more complicated than it needs to be, imo. Complicated to the point that it sucks the fun right out of it. No wonder why the negative reviews are starting to stack up.
I agree with the annoyances in the game, but the puzzles, at least, aren't too rough.
I don't like how you implemented the backpack expansion in the game, with all of the gathering we have to do the inventory fills up fast, it's something we should be able to craft or buy, it's always the first thing I do when I start playing a new game, especially a game that has a huge amount resources like this one.
I feel that as a witch, then maybe we should have a spell or potion to expand our storage.
At this point I'm bored in-game by having to run everywhere, teleport back to dump my stuff in a myriad of chests, to go back yet again because my pack was full and, well, that's my average day in my first Bask season. Not very inspiring. I am literally waiting for the another two seasons so I can get those pesky time-gated mushrooms for both the Cat Quest and the broom quest.
You play as a witch and pick up the pieces of your wrecked broom right off the bat but can't repair or use it until it unlocks later in the game when the fast travel is needed right from the start, as was mentioned above. It's unfortunate that the progression of this game is off.
On top of that the graphics are messed up, I'm playing another game right now where I'm getting 120 fps but I can only get 60 out of this one because the settings don't work right for higher end machines, it seems that it doesn't work right for many people going by all the complaints about it.
Excuse me, New Age?? I'm a 63 year old boomer that has been playing games since the 70s.
Nobody has handed me anything, in games, or in life, I work for what I get.
It sounds to me like you are just butthurt over the negative feedback on this game. Bummer for you.
