Game doesn't start after changing to DE language.
I started my game, changed language to DE and closed the game to restart it. Unfortunately my game doesn't start correctly anymore. Even before getting into the loading screen, it shows 'fatal error' and I can only close it again. Means, I can't even change the language back to EN and am not being able to play at all.

Could you fix this with another update or help me somehow?

Thanks

I really want to solve this problem and be able to play it again.

Any other suggestions?
Ok, so we will try few different things. First, type "-dx11" in your starting options ( in steam game details)

Hope Igor sees this post; I read in a WoFI Discussion FAQ that Enjoy Studio is currently doing only English and Polish editions, check if that's correct, with more languages later on.
Just got an idea—suggestion—try this:
Go to the Game Page in your Steam Account, select this game, Right-Click it, select Properties from the popup menu, then select Install (or is it 'Installation'?), then click Verify Installed Files—its button is on the right of the dialog pane. See if this action replaces a corrupted file, or something like that, which it can do. Did for me once.
Let us know how it goes, if you like. If it doesn't, I wonder if Steam Support can help fix it...?

They have stated multiple times, the only EA languages were Polish and English. They added German and another at launch. There are no plans on other languages.

To fix where you're at deleting the settings files and verifying will reset it to default allowing you to try again.

Yes, try removing config file to reset settings and let us know if it will work for you.

I tried to find the save files of the game to delete the config file. I don't know why, but my files do not have any save files! I can find them for every other game, except this one.

I think I will have to deinstall the game and install it again.

I don't know if my game progress will still be available if I do so. It is saved in the steam cloud, but I don't know if the settings are, too? Because that would not solve my Problem at all...

Can anybody help me with this?
I really don't want to lose my game.

You can find your save files here: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\WitchOfTheFernIsland\Saved\SaveGames

Hi Igor!

I typed that in my starting options and IT WORKED!
The game starts normally and I can play normally, too.

So finally that did it for me.
Thank you very much!

Does it have to stay like that now?

It seems that your GPU doesn't support DX12 so you have to use DX11. You have to use that to play.
