PROBLEM WITH BUILDING CHEST

After i bought the furnace recipe it wont let me choose between the other recipes, only the furnace.

It`s in the other category of build items, need to swap the category with keys.
Best is to rebind those keys since default bind is pretty bad for most keyboards.

I'm having a similar problem, but I simply cannot change the category. Redefining keys don't work, and brackets (which are awkward but doable) doesn't work either even if I reset the keys.

I should add that I got the problem in a new game started after the last patch. No mods. It basically soft-blocks all progress, and it's meaningless to play the game until it's fixed. Please, devs. I love the game but can't play it.

Hi, we will need your save files to check that issue. Also try changing bindings few times and reseting settings, it might help. Also try checking your files integrity through steam.

In another thread I mentioned I use a nordic keyboard, and a fellow suggested redefining it to Page up and page down. Strangely enough, that worked.

Now I'm stuck with the crystal orb not being possible to pick up to use for the broom ritual. :(

I tried to redefine the keys to 8 and 9 and that did not work either. O and P did, though. Evidently, although 8 and 9 don't do much in the building tool menu, they're still considered as taken. Perhaps the choice of [ and ] was not a very good one in the first place and could be reconsidered for the benefit of players with non-English keyboards (there are quite many, after all).

I have a Nordic keyboard and can confirm changing the key bindings is not saved.
The option I found is to setup windows to accept two keyboards: My native language keyboard and the us/uk keyboard, then switch between the two when I need to switch build categories (can be done while in game). Then you can use the already designated [ and ] keys (located near the Enter key on the row just below the numeric row).
