I am stuttering a ton during online games but not during single player

Hi, I just bought the game and played the first level like two hours ago and stuttered throughout the entire thing, I was NOT lagging, the performance was extremely unstable throughout the entire level, 5 seconds wouldn't go by without some sort of freeze or stutter, sometimes the game just straight up froze for a few seconds.... That was when I played through matchmaking...

I just loaded up the same mission but turned off matchmaking and played with bots instead and the performance was fine, I didn't get a single issue, I loaded up the same mission again with other players and boom, the unplayable stuttering was back.... What's causing this?

Keep in mind I had a frametime graph up when playing... With other players it was spiking constantly, and with bots my frametime was a straight line throughout.

It Started happening with crossplay....it´s just a connection thing.

Are you expecting offline to be as stable or more stable than when you play over the internet?

I'm not expecting online play to be unplayable, which it is for me. Offline was smooth as butter whereas online was a nearly unplayable with the amount of stuttering and frame spikes I was getting...

Keep in mind, I was not getting any lag or ping issues, the performance itself was horrible over matchmaking.

It's peer-to-peer connection. Some players you connect to that are hosting may have slow internet or too far away in region. With others it runs smoothly. And sometimes I feel the matchmaking system get's messed up. Taking longer to find players and usually get stuck with high ping host players. If you exit to title screen then continue game and relaunch, It'll fix this.

peoples connection if your not the host,crossplay is the issuse ever scince they introduced it to the game it has been terrible,not all missions are the same,u will notice also loading spikes when entering new areas,like through doors ect,best bet is if your on steam and hosting there is a couple of things that can improve connection issuses,portforward the games ports via your router,also wi-fi for this game is a nono^^ use ethernet more stable:)
