Overstim was in the game for ages and wasn't really a problem for about a year as there are plenty of other cards that make the game easier for people that are struggling:
-Extraordinary weapons for 35% more damage more or less turns Insane back into Extreme.
-High Caliber, only 25% damage but it applies to abilities as well.
-Superior firepower gives 50% ability damage
-Ammo hoarder for not only double ammo but double magazine size
-Double damage half speed is basically the same as ammo hoarder.
-Maybe we got em demoralised makes elites a breeze to kill
-Synthetic backup for some body guards
-Theres a couple that increase HP/offer HP regen/reduce enemy damage
Theres also more mission specific buff cards out there too.
Not to mention these cards are 1 time use, win or lose you have to farm another if you want to use it again - so its more a problem with bad endgame veterans that have loads of these cards that never learnt to play rather than noobs using them for their first Insane clears since they don't have a stockpile of cards to blow through.
If you don't want to play with those cards that's fine i don't really like using them either but you gotta less insufferable, make some friends and play with them where you can all mutually agree not to use those cards. In pubs people are gunna use what they need to in order to win because they don't know/trust you.
There is a case for nerfing some of the DLC ability modifiers because really those are the problem that made overstim so powerful in the first place.
But its also worth remembering that before precision rockets demo was in a pretty lackluster spot. His passive damage was inconsistent compared to other classes, he didn't have a CQW or pistol the 2 highest damage weapons in the game, he doesn't have any extra damage perks outside of down n out which everyone else has access too - so he was a low damage frontliner who was easily outclassed by Tech or Lancer or even Phalanx.
His 2 niches were
-CC king with double knockback giving a lot of time for the other 2 players to kill elites if they didn't have much CC for some reason.
-AoE damage king as splash damage was the only place where his damage excelled but outside of horde modes.
At least with precision rockets hes better than Phalanx xD
Thx bye.
wasnt much moddifiers and a better choice of classes with universal perks to mod the grid,no 1 complained it was harder when the game was first out u didnt have much of a variation for what u have now,,with stuff they have put into the game over time, they have made it alot easier,u dont have to hold doors ect if u dont need too no law against it,playing the game any 1 can its up to them to do so
blame cold iron for precision rockets, no yell at the players useing the card, only time i use that card is on insane to help friends,to get the mission out the way quickly, gunner, demo are the only 2 classes that i use to breeze through insane with that card,as for demo for the dlc, strike thats the hardest level of the whole game, and i welcome good demos for that particular mission, overstim challenge card isnt the only card in the game that has a good advantage for the players^^.and it gets used alot regadless of difficulty, double the damage half speed^^ that on insane with a burst rifle is awsome:)
Thx bye.
2) When people say so much nonsense, please don't blame the person who points it out to you.
3) If you are too sensitive to the truth, don't listen to it.
4) If it's emotion you're looking for, head to a children's forum.
5) If you are not capable of being good enough, don't blame those who are good enough to help you rise cheaply, like any good lazy person.
6) When you are on a forum, please put forward logical arguments, do not attack people personally to try to discriminate their words through their person, especially when they are true.
Edit : Why did you suppressed your post frosty* ?
1) You are blaming the devs for a card you dislike, no ones blaming you of anything. Projecting?
2) right back at you, the challenge card is pretty tame and only really overpowered on 2 builds, demo with precision rockets and maybe gunner with grenades. Precision rockets are arguably overpowered without the card so most people look her for a nerf rather than at overstim.
If anyone is strugging on Tech their go to buff card is ability damage to make the turret melt everything, gunner/lancer are going to prefer extraordinary weaponry for weapon damage, high weapons damage recon-less team comps are going to like ammo horder.
3) You have stopped reading 2 peoples comments because you didn't like the first line and are intentionally staying ignorant and not partaking in arguments being presented.
4) Based on your intention to ignore peoples arguments and the discussion being had - this whole post is an emotional post about how overstim makes you frustrated and how you want mummy and daddy dev to step in listen to you cry about how random pubbers play the game.
5) Again if you dont want to use overstim make some friends# dont to use it. I know a few groups of guys that i play with and we never use any of the buff cards we mostly play insane with extra difficulty from challenge cards.
But to do this you can't behave like a child or no one will want to play with you.
This isn't a problem for anyone else.
6) you have literally ignored everything presented too you as your emotions are clouding your judgement. This is projection at its finest.
