You should try it in VR.....its next f.kn level
Of the remaining time, 10 hours are easily spent on the MP waiting list for higher difficulties. 2-3% of the MP time consists of completed missions and the rest were quitter missions.
All in all, I mostly stick with single player.
The game destroys its own MP anyway.
Various difficulty modes for various missions. With or without crossplay. With or without challenge cards. And all of that in a niche.
It was clear that the MP would be a flop due to a massive lack of players - that's also why it started as a Gamepass title.
It couldn't be more divided - and even with titles from Epic and Microsoft (Horde in Gears of War, Firefight in Halo) there were always problems with the Horde mode and its 3-4 difficulty modes - precisely because this already caused too much fragmentation in a mp mode. As a rule, you always had to complete wave 50 alone or with a lucky catch from the randoms that was just like you. Everyone else dropped out at 7-19. After years, Gears introduced bots as a solution in the last part (reasonable).
In Fireteam Elite they don't just limit themselves to one mode, but have designed the entire MP section for fragmentation, plus bots.
But they would also need a invite option, a re-join option and much more.
I might actually have to get the PC version of the game just so I can have this mod. I only play single player and it would be nice to have some actual marines instead of synthetics as my teammates all the time.
My suggestion would be to run Demolition with Rocket Launcher (M12 RPG Launcher, if you don't have that then the shop sells M12A1 Rocket Launcher, which is very similar). It kills multiple Pathogens on a single hit and makes destroying the Cores a very easy task.
Besides that you can stock up on turrets until you reach the final fight and deploy them there. It will take a bunch of the heat off you, making it easier to complete the mission.
Yesterday I spent over 6 hours trying to do 3(?)-3 with randoms. Terrible - I made more progress there on my own of 2 lame bots. To be more precise, I was only missing one core. And the randoms were just quitting, afk at beginning or dying, even though my class had already killed most of the enemies without doing any friendly fire. One could say, that as soon as something came from behind, everyone died. Makes me wonder... what did these people even do until they reached level 100? They don't know the spawn points etc...There are only a few combinations of them. I'm not even 60 and know them. And it's not as if the other classes are completely useless there. Especially since you're on a team.
