I looked on Steamcharts and it says 136 are playing right now. That's not bad. But if it's dying I'm not sure about getting it.

This game was dead a month after release man. 136 is pretty awful for any multiplayer game. Let alone one that doesn't have a matchmaking or lobby system.

The numbers you named were steam players and not crossplay. I play just about every night and find random players easily. Matchmaking and quickplay is locked until you complete the base game. It can be done on any difficulty.

Quickplay : Is a feature that unlocks after completing the base game. It allows players to find a team instantly. You are able to select the difficulty but the missions are random.

But you can still invite friends, join the official discord or groups till you have the base game unlocked.

I 100% the achievements with the help of fellow and random players about a year ago.

I do so from time to time but only with my friends, randoms are not worth it in my experience.

I have never played, dont think I ever will. The true title should probably be Aliens grab the same old thing over and over again. IDT the devs even made a full game just a name grabber with little effort. Each mission seems to be the same thing over and over again. Keep in mind I never played, and dont plan on it. Just really wanted to, but seemed like massive meh.

Yes, but its mostly people on Standard difficulty. If you want to do the higher difficulties you will need friends as there isnt a lot of room for lone wolves and grabass brain dead hur der hurs. The game isnt dying, its just pretty much end of life. Numbers arent going down but they are what they are and are unlikely to get better. Maybe if they release a new campaign thats more than 3 more missions. Some people have also suggested a survival mode. Most games these days die pretty quickly, its just oversaturation of the marketplace. There are only so many gaming hours to go around.
