I played b4b on another acc and dropped it because it was another left 4 dead clone with new mechanics. Aliens is pretty much the same, but it is very different because of it's setting. I think it depends on what do you want from game.

As things stand, B4B does have far more content to offer in comparison. And most importantly, B4B supports cross-platform matchmaking which is the bane of AFE on the other hand.

I can tell Cold Iron Studios have really done their research on the Alien lore and the artistic design of AFE is absolutely on point and I love however little we have received. Unfortunately speaking as a whole, CIS seems to lack the manpower and resources to execute the vision in a grand scale and further elevate the player experience post-launch.

I would honestly say Fireteam if you have friends to play with but if your playing alone and joining randoms then back 4 blood. This games matchmaking due to not being cross plat can be pretty much a ghost town. Don't get me wrong enjoyed both of the games but I do feel this was more enjoyable than Back 4 Blood!

I think it's worth highlighting, and circling, the fact that the Alien setting and feel makes a very big difference. For example, I play Deep Rock Galactic, which is strictly superior in a whole lot of different ways within this genre. Yet, I'll keep coming back to this game because its got the atmosphere I want. In the end, if you're a fan of the Alien universe and want that vibe, then you'll get a lot out of this even if the features and mechanics could be better. It's a pretty big factor, IMO.

A big fan of L4D franchise and Aliens:Colonial Marines here.
I'd like to recommend to you to purchase an Aliens:Fireteam Elite. Definitely this one.
Back 4 Blood is boredom clone of evergreen masterpiece L4D with bland mechanics and dull gameplay. Turtle Rock Studios couldn't to develop a good game without patronage of Valve as they did L4D.
Aliens:Fireteam Elite is definitely better. It have drive, perfect gameplay and variety of cards that are more intuitevely useful than B4B's. The problem is low online, but it depends of personal circumstances. I play mostly solo and it's ok 4 me.

i never played black blood, so tell you what of both games is better is impossible for me...

btw, i can tell you why i love alien fireteam.... i dont play it often but each time they release a new class (as today hahahahaha) i cant wait to grind it....

this game is mazing it s a pur xenocid, graphics are awesome, it s nervous and brutal...

for the coop side, teams are made of 3 players, you absolutely can do the contents of the game with bots, but sure if you have 2 friends playing the game or if you play it only at peak hours, (or when they release new contents) ofc that will be better...

if most of the time, there is a low population on this game, it s not cause the game is bad, check the reviews if you have some doubt.... it s just cause, this game need a little thing (i dont know what) for push ppl to play it more often, so you come for some fresh hours of pur pleasure when new contents come out, and you take a break again waiting the next one ;)

Neither - wtf both options dont seem good atm, why would you buy any of them rather get WWZ. Or wait till the devs show up and try to fix the game. If they dont you know the problem.

TBH id go with this at the moment but depends what you want. I like theory crafting builds in both. If you got dedicated friends to grind with maybe b4b, cause the cross kids will piss you off. b4b has mic and chat, aliens no but I complete more missions smoothly with randoms on here than b4b. Once you set a build you can use it every level. b4b i a deck system that you set up that adds another layer each level. I like the stationary more tactical feeling here which is why I came back after 400 hours of b4b. The control on b4b will give you more of a cod feeling if thats your things. The maps and spawns in b4b are bigger and more environment interaction.

Even though this is kind of dead, I still think its better than B4B. But honestly your best bet is to avoid both in their current states

This is mechanically superior to B4B but lacks the content to last and the numbers show just that. I played it via Game Pass and I enjoyed it and even then it seemed kinda dead which is unfortunate.
