All that said, if you don't like isometric strategy games, or playing alone, it won't do anything for you. FTE is worth it on a deep, DEEP sale, if for nothing else than to give it a try. You might like it.
Took me 46 hours to beat the campaign and it was incredible.
So many various mission objectives, i didn´t expect that from this kind of game. Lots of level variety too.
Cool cutscenes are a big plus for me. The story is very interesting from beginning to end. And the atmosphere is crazy good!
Aliens: Dark Descent just reeks of all the Alien movies scare- and thrill-factor.
Since most people are mentioning DD in this thread, I'll say something about Fireteam: it's comfy, has lots of cool guns and perk builds, and is a very tight gameplay experience that you can jump into over and over.
I don't mind tactics like games but this was a little too hard for me. Not to say it wasn't great in every other area though.
