Which one's better?

This one, or Aliens: Dark Descent? I've heard good things about both games, and I'm planning to get ONE of them during the Fall Sale, but only one due to there being OTHER games that I'm planning to get then. So I can only get one of them. That's why I'm turning to the community for assistance with this decision.

The community may say FTE. I didn't particularly like it and had connection problems with FTE, but even if I did, I think I'd say DD is better because it's more of a single player experience that's hand crafted. The atmosphere is better and more grim.

All that said, if you don't like isometric strategy games, or playing alone, it won't do anything for you. FTE is worth it on a deep, DEEP sale, if for nothing else than to give it a try. You might like it.

Depends on what u like? DD is strategy, the stress system makes it really challenging...u get to set up your whole team of 4 then 5 and choose perks for them...I like both but FTE is like playing Cs but killing Xenomorphs and u can customize your own gear and weapons but nowadays there r not many people playing since it's been out for some time...both end up being solo games anyways...

Overall, Aliens: Dark Descent is one of the best Alien singleplayer games ever.
Took me 46 hours to beat the campaign and it was incredible.
So many various mission objectives, i didn´t expect that from this kind of game. Lots of level variety too.
Cool cutscenes are a big plus for me. The story is very interesting from beginning to end. And the atmosphere is crazy good!
Aliens: Dark Descent just reeks of all the Alien movies scare- and thrill-factor.

I tried this and couldn't get into it, while dark descent was an amazing experience for me all the way, I loved it, and I'd rate it 9 out of 10, because of a few bugs but nothing game breaking.

Both are good but different. Dark Descent is more of a single player experience while Fireteam is more of a multiplayer experience. One's like XCOM, the other's like Left4Dead.

Since most people are mentioning DD in this thread, I'll say something about Fireteam: it's comfy, has lots of cool guns and perk builds, and is a very tight gameplay experience that you can jump into over and over.

Eh, question's a moot point now. I've bought both games. Thanks for the input. Although this DOES mean I have to change my Christmas list.

You won't need anything for Christmas - DD didn't get an expansion pack. 😔

I don't mind tactics like games but this was a little too hard for me. Not to say it wasn't great in every other area though.

DD looks hard and i hate the camera angle id never buy a game like that, i have a few in my library im stuck with ill never play again.
