And when you do connect with someone, it seems like there are bad connections from there on out.
To Fix This :
Exit To Title Screen > Continue Game > Relaunch Mission or Quickplay
If you use an ability and if it's delayed after hitting the key, you'll know it's going to be unplayable due to bad host connection.
Usually, "Host disconnection" is happening right after several huge lags.
Well, what's your point of "Re-launch the mission"?
The same is happening. About 30% matches has lags / disconnects atm. I can play 1 mission entirely without any single lag. And the next mission will be constant lags with disonnection. Then, 3rd mission will be OK. And so.
Do you think it can be issues with internet of other players who is joined in my match?
If you played recently, can you say that you can't confirm such behaviour?
Usually, it's happening somewhere after 3 or even 15 minutes after starting the mission: I can shoot, but other players and AI like freezed, they are just running to the single location and do nothing.
Several such lags for 1 minute, then disonnection.
during this time my ping is good, and I watch stream in parallel monitor where there are no issues with my internet observed.
Games that use peer-to-peer networking rely on the performance of the host's device. The host acts as both a player and a server, handling game data and distributing it to other players. As a result, the host's device performance, including its processing power and network connection, can impact the overall gameplay experience for all participants or players.
Poor host connections can be due to the host player being too far away in region, using a VPN or not directly connected with an Ethernet Cable VS Wi-Fi. Often resulting in a unplayable experience for the clients or players due to low speed and high latency.
The data packets being sent and received from the host to the clients or players is not communicating fast enough to update the game state. These packets contain updates to the game state, including things like player, enemy and object locations. It also includes when guns are fired, how far the distance the bullet has to travel and if it will land on time to hit the target. Or Tick Rates.
When you see players and aliens running into walls, the game is awaiting the host players' data packets and if it doesn't receive them fast enough, it will result in a disconnection from the host player.
When you see players and aliens doing the glitch effect. Where they are stuttering. Appear in one location but disappear and show up in another, the data packets are being sent and received but too slowly and if it don't catch up or correct and maintain the flow, it will also result in a disconnection from the host player. Mostly at times, during heavy traffic game state load. When a lot of activity is going on.
If you are playing with friends, the host player should be the one with the best ISP, directly connected with an Ethernet Cable and have the best performing system.
Also, it seems today it was really me who was a lagger :)
In the event you have no brain and you play on WIFI it means you are part of the problem you are a scummy WIFI Warrior who is the reason so many idiots cause lag in these games, however if you are on ethernet cable because you have a functioning brain, you can ignore this part of my post.
Now assuming you are on Ethernet connection the solution you need is to go to game mode and launch your own lobby you will become the host, it will say "lock fireteam" if you are the host and there will at first be nobody but yourself.
This will ensure that the match runs smooth for everyone.
