Crossplay doesnt seem to work

I have this game on ps5 and when play i often have a pc players on the team. Now i have it on steam it doesnt connect with anyone but pc. How do i play with ps5 and xbox players when playing on steam version, and is there a way to play with my ps5 friends?

If you're trying to play with a specific person on a console, look at the team tab in the menu options. You will find a option in which you can generate or send an invite code. This is how you add / join specific friends or family on consoles.

Menu > Team > Crossplay > Add Crossplay Friends

Crossplay is enabled by default but it can be enabled or disabled.

Menu > Settings > Crossplay.

If crossplay is enabled, you'll find friends and random console players in the base game missions and the quickplay option.

And sometimes the matchmaking system can get messed up. Making it feel like no one is playing. To fix this and find instant teams :

Exit to the Title Screen > Continue Game > Relaunch Mission or Quickplay.

Thanks @Xero. I just dont seem to be linking with console players, unless the icons are different, team mates are either steam or an icon of a monitor which im guessing is epic or another pc platform. Just seems odd i never get xbox or ps5 players!

The monitor looking icon means they are console players. Steam icon means steam players. It doesn't pop up with a Nintendo, Playstation or Xbox logo distinguishing which console they are playing from. I should've clarified that. I will for future questions.

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch will all be monitor looking icons.

Ah don't be. We all start off in this game or any not really knowing what's what, how and why. It's either figuring it out yourself later on or someone telling ya. =)

I'd just like to say quickplay is a feature that unlocks after beating the base game. If you haven't unlocked it yet, It allows players to find a team quickly. Almost instantly. You are able to select the difficulty but the missions are random.
