Win 10 required? > No it's not!

Store page got updated with the System Requirements.
So, now it is confirmed that the game definitely won't run on Win 7?
Or are there workarounds?

Update:
Game works on Windows 7 too.
Finished whole game. No crashes.

If it's not starting go to C:\Windows\System32 and look for file xinput1_4.dll
If it's not there, copy xinput1_3.dll, rename the copy to xinput1_4.dll and put it into the same folder.

PS. I heard it works on Win 8.1 too.

Even i loved Windows 7 bigtime , but upgraded 3 years ago, if you want to keep up with the times, its keeping up with OS, no i am not keen on Windows 10 UI, but there is a classic shell mod that makes it loads better and very much like 7.

Unless you're on a potato PC, windows 10 will run fine on your hardware and if you can run this game, windows 10 will also run just fine. You can find windows 10 really cheap and this game is not only game that needs windows 10.

This is literally the only game I am interested in that may require windows 10. Modern games, for the most part, are terrible.

I just looked on the microsoft website, for Win11 you'll need at least Dx12 or WDDM 2.0. I have a 1060 that can only run Dx11 so for the new Windows 11 I'll need to build a whole new PC. However I can at the very least go to Win10 then later build a new PC.

According to this Article [www.cnet.com], you cna still get win10 for free and then also get win11 free from 10.

I can confirm, upgrading was free and I didn't loose any files. Devs will probably drop Win7 support so it's probably best to upgrade now. I do prefer the slickness of windows 7 as well. From what I've been told, the negative aspects of Win10 have mostly been resolved. As soon as I started it up I hide the MC store and Cortana as well as a few other things.

You're looking at a performance gain from upgrading to Windows 10, unless your hardware is antiquated.

Trust me, I've done literally hundreds of Windows 7 --> Windows 10 upgrades.

"Negative things about windows 10" usually means "Cortana is spying on you" (just turn it off; takes literally less than five seconds) or "oh no, they force me to keep my pc up-to-date!" (the horror!).

This is what im doing. Im currently on old hardware and old OS, still using DDR3 but its great still for 1080p but we are moving onto higher res and stuff too.
