Ofc the host also needs good/stable internet as all it takes is 1 hiccup to DC and then you are boned.
That said i gotta agree with everyone i feel like this update stability has decreased. Where before maybe 1 in 10 games i would DC now its like 2-3 in 10 and thats not including other people although its hard to be sure at times whats a DC and whats a RQ...
Tienes el problema de conexion tambien? El problema donde te expulsa y dice que se perdio conexion con el anfitrion?
Not at this time. The only way to ensure a good ping is playing at top peak hours in your region. Before the update, many players turned off crossplay because many console players use WiFi over direct Ethernet cable connection. Not all consoles, but some. I play with crossplay enabled and every now and then I'll have a host player in which the mission lags.
This can also happen with just steam players only. Again, using Wifi only. Games that use peer-to-peer networking rely on the performance of the host's device. The host acts as both a player and a server, handling game data and distributing it to other players. As a result, the host's device performance, including its processing power and network connection, can impact the overall game play experience for all participants or players.
Not everyone has a good running system that can produce good performance for the latest games. Or they lack the knowledge or know how to keep it updated and running at the performance it should be.
And like what DrunkBunny94 mentioned. On non-peak hours, you may be connected with someone across the map in which the lag can be terrible.
When connecting with friends, you want the host player to be the one with the best performing device or system and network. Along with using direct Ethernet cable connection.
Sometimes it has nothing to do with anything mentioned above and the host may want to play a mission in which the clients or other players don't have unlocked yet. Or don't have the DLC. So they are immediately returned to the hanger with a lost connection to the host message.
In this case, you want to play where your friends are at so they can catch up with you. Along with making sure you talk with all NPCs that are marked with an icon, so the mission is unlocked.
