How to pass "Giants in the Earth: Evacuate" consistantly
I did it just now, but almost on accident...

I am looking for a more consistent way for all classes, anyone have hints?

I have tried a BUNCH of times, and maybe get 1 "Synth Core" in the last tower before getting completely over run.

But, today I was testing how to use the Doc, trying to see how the "Recharge" works, and really had no intention of actually passing it, things just lined up perfect. I dont remember getting any flame throwers, but there were quite a few of the heavies with mini-guns.

My set up was super basic, dropped 2 guns in the back by the door, put about 5 land mines on the platform, then dropped my med station and activated the round. I read somewhere not to try and kill everyone, but only focus on the guys in the baseball hats. I saw 1 come near, so I hit him ignoring the heavy near him. While the heavy was reloading, I ran down and got the Synth Core, took a little damage but got it into the tower.
The rest of the time I just stayed up by my Sentry Guns, ammo box, and Med station. I only shot synths as they came up to the platform, replacing mines as needed (I placed 9 total, not sure how many got kills). After a while, there were 3 or 4 Synth Cores basically sitting right at my feet, and I just put them in.

About this time, my bots stopped shooting, and I realized, it was over...

I honestly have no clue what tactic helped and what was incidental, but this is what I did different, any feedback?
  • Stayed on platform (not running to get cores)
  • Wait for them to come to you rather than shoot into the courtyard
  • use a lot of mines
  • use a med-station

This is by NO MEANS an instructions manual, I really dont know what happened, this is more to get input from others and see if there is an easy way to consistently pass this with all classes.

anyone have any good tips for new players who are getting slammed on this level?

At the end when the heavy spawns rush the wardens, kill them and grab their cores before they can run half way across the map.

You're on a tight clock for this you can't really just post up and hold you have constant elites spawning that will quickly overrun you.

I tried just now with my demo, set up some mines and a few sentry guns in the back, played a little more aggressive, and none of the cores walked themselves up to the platform this time, but, I waited until I could run to them without TOO much damage, and survived with only 1 heal (might have done it with none, but I wanted to clear it for sure), I had to set about 7 or 8 mines, and there were 2 left over, but, worth the effort

I think the problem before was I rushed the cores when they still had a spit load of guys watching it. This time I cleared it out before rushing to get them, a little easier that way
I found that in general, on insane difficulty it is mostly luck. What you can sometimes do is you can farm the first part of the mission for cores, put just one in, until you have enough for both, then rush the second part of the section. If you have it, there is a synth backup card that you can use for reinforcements, otherwise you would want to make the heavies weaker.

Once you start the second part, you are basically on a strict clock as the enemies spawn fast enough that you can easily end up with too many heavy enemies.

You do want to clear out any threats in the area before you rush a core, but that is what having the cores ready is for.
so you want to basically farm cores while in the first phase?

I used to have trouble with the last part but now it's almost too easy.

First, take out the nearby sentry guns and rushing bots and then take out the sniper.

Then, clear out all remaining bots and sentry guns before doing activating the first switch. You can put in the cores before that, though. There will always be a few new bots joining the map every so often. Don't worry about them after activating the first switch.

Then rush up to the final area that has the second switch. Don't waste any time. When you get there, keep peeking down over the sides. Usually, a warden (the ones with the batteries) and a couple grunts will spawn close by on each of the two sides. This should happen pretty soon.

Take out those wardens as fast as you can and run down and grab the batteries. Don't waste any time or else the huge bots will start reaching you and then you have a very hard fight.

Sometimes, you get unlucky or a glitch and those 2 close wardens don't show up for a while. If that happens, you are in for a very hard battle.

The key thing to remember on the very last part is that new heavy bots will keep spawning. Don't try and clear them out or you will get over-run. By the time that you take one out, a new one will be on top of you.

Yeah, that is what I do at least. It can take a bit of time depending on RNG, but better than dealing with that RNG while you are getting increasing numbers of heavy units.

I dont know, if this is still of interest in 2025, but if somebody is still frustrated with that level, try this one:

Actually it was described by others already above: dont fight the big guys (not at all), look only for the guys with the baseball hats.

When you completed the 1st platform, rush ASAP to the 2nd one (take care to destroy the sentinel towers before, as they deal a lot of damage if you dont spot them soon enough).

When you are at the 2nd platform, immediately look for the 1st guy with the baseball hat. Usually he spawns from the door on the left side of the platform. Defeat him ASAP and get his core. Insert it immediately. Then usually within seconds the second guy with the baseball cap comes from the right door next to the platform. Rush as soon as possible and destroy him, grab the core and insert it. Then, IMPORTANT, activate the console - level finished.

If you focus to do that you dont need to shoot one bullet at the heavy guys.

This works absolutely fine even on "heftig" (dont know the english term for this difficulty, this is the 3rd one after "standard").

don't get sucked into trying to killing everything, winning means getting cores for the switches asap
2nd switch = kill warden left and warden right before the heavy stuff closes in or the sniper gets you. static mine all 3 doors at the far end and bring some stun turrets, place them somewhere the sniper wont shoot them
p.s. heavy fire synth, shoot the tank on his back to get him to go boom

Having a good Phalanx with you to take on the heavy's and sniper's will help greatly.
For me the most fruitful by now was to clear the enemy turrets and first enemies in the last section, then quickly kill-take core-kill-take core as fast as I can to fight as less enemies as possible between cores.

It is good that you can even move and/or take cover while taking a core or activating a stage to dodge interrupting damage. The first and second core are OK, but between the 3rd and 4th one you need to perform a microrush.
