Can NOT invite friend - multiplayer does not work?

When I try to invite friend to team, or he is trying to invite me and I accept invitation, I got Endeavor pic and "loading circle" in left down corner, but then after long period of waiting my character appears alone in lobby next to the side of dropship. We tried many times, does not matter if I try to invite my friend or if he is trying to invite me - looks like something is seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up with matchmaking… Any fix for this?

yeah is kinda fked m8, can i ask where you two from? I have friend from australlia and matchmaking avoid us to play, not sure the issue, ms\ping\lag, distance? dunno

Poland / Europe. But it's not about location / region / distance – we live like literally a street from each other and we play all other games together with no problem. I think something is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up with THIS game? I did fast googlesearch and ppl are complaining at exact the same issue at release day… Looks like still not fixed till today?! DEVS: WTF?!

Anyway, apparently the matchmaking's been broken for a while? I find it strange how it's been like this for years (according to various threads I saw on Reddit and other sites) and devs didn't do anything about it.

I know it sounds weird, but for some people it was because one person didn't have Crossplay on and the other had it enabled. Apparently if you have Crossplay Off, you will only be matched with other players with Crossplay Off even if you're both on Steam. Same with Crossplay On... you both need to have it On. Public Matchmaking also need to be the same. Meaning, everyone trying to get into the same game needs to have either Public Matchmaking = Yes or No. For my team, we all have Crossplay Enabled and Public Matchmaking = YES. Is that the same for you and your friend? Also someone in this thread restarted Windows Defender and that seemed to have fixed the issue. Check and make sure there aren't any blocked access attempts related to the game in your security center.
