Unreal Engine 4 crash after new Season 4 update
Well, everything worked smoothly until this big' ol update. Now the game won't even load anymore with an Unreal Engine 4 Crash Reporter:

Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW

Anyone with the same issue? I uninstalled the game, reinstalled, new graphics driver for my Radeon... still the same.

I am thinking it was actually the Epic launcher updates and not the Unreal engine download. I removed the Unreal Engine download after and it still works. I am thinking because my Epic Launcher was so out of date, and since the game is UE4 based it was probably referring to Epic Launchers overlay resources which for me were out of date and screwing things up.

same here - went through all the perfunctory troubleshooting techniques of rebooting, checking drivers are up to date, reinstalling...still crashes with the exact same report you posted. Worked perfectly well right up through the day before the 7/26/2022 patch.

Sad to see this but also reassured that I am not the only one. Did all the stuff related to the .dll (deleting then reinstalling Steam and all)... and still the same result.

I just wanna kill Aliens..

After the last update, I can not play, it constantly freezes and crashes.

Crossplay added a number of freezes, crashes and other fun stuff that now also additionally makes you want to jump infront of a car at full speed.

I also tried verifying game files, reinstalling, updating drivers (nvidia), but nothing helps, still the same error...

same issue. updated drivers. verified game files. reinstalled. rebooted. disabled all overlays (steam, discord, game bar etc), tried -dx11/-dx12, changed display modes (borderless, windowed, fullscreen). Tried running out .exe out of folder, got past crash but game was severly stuttering/unstable.

I constantly hang with crashes when moving from door to door, it is impossible to play.

Yep.. exactly this too... which screen do you have? Is that a Lenovo Legion too?

Yep.. exactly this too... which screen do you have? Is that a Lenovo Legion too?
Main is a Samsung Odyssey G7, second is an Acer XB270H A. I have tried the game with second screen off too.
