Well, not to rub salt into the steam version open wounds, but gamepass version does indeed have a VoIP built into the game...
They clearly don't care about the steam community.....
I use discord even when playing games that have voip so that was never a big deal to me. I was just surprised that the game pass version has voip. It makes sense though I guess since they'd be playing with xbox players.
Just saying that the VoIP exists ingame, but for some stupid reason it isn't implemented into steam version.
So if I am right you can enable push to talk on xbox by pressing Windows + G
Press the Audio Button
Scroll down on the Audio window to where you see the XBOX Party Chat you will see a box with an arrow click that.
A new window opens up scroll down - bottom will say "Enable push to talk"
Yes its a super secret hidden location, and best way to get it fixed is to post on Microsoft XBOX feedback forums.
this game has no onboard comms at all. Most gamers use discord nowadays, so onboard comms were not necessary.
No. It does. Both, Unreal and Steam have it built in. These developers are just simply too lazy and incompetent to take advantage of either option.
Discord is absolutely useless for public matches. If i have to go through third party software just get a basic feature? Your game is the issue!
Actually, bandwidth cost money. To use a voice com would have eaten up development money, and about half of this game was scrapped due to budget issues to begin with. So you got this game, but you sacrificed a fourth player and voice chat for it. Learn what you're talking about before you start calling people names.
actually; if you use xbox game pass version there is voice comms built-in that work; however.. that is zero way to disable it or turn yourself off.
Bandwidth? Budget? For basic functionality?! ♥♥♥♥ that's already build into the aforementioned software?
Hilarious!
How about you stop spouting off nonsense as if you're some sort of authority on these things, eh?
Yes! 'Lazy and incompetent' is an apt description of the people involved in the development of this cobbled together, second rate shooter.
The fact that it took them 5-6 years to work on this is beyond embarrassing.
