3 player co-op ? Seriously ?

Who put a 3 player limit on the co-op in the Alien universe ? Seriously ? This should be 6 player co-op ... 4 at a minimum. My regular playing group is at least 4 strong on a bad night. Have you not seen Aliens ?

Well. I guess they figure that for the vast majority of people, getting a group of more than 3 players together was a pain in the ass.

That said, I'm not saying I agree with this either.

As long as the game do not demand 3 players, to even start a match. If you can play solo, 2 or 3 players it is fine.

If it is some matchmaking system with search for 3 players. The game is DOA.

I agree on that point ... but I was more driving towards I would want to play this with 3 or 4 other friends. 3 player co-op is a weird limit.

Honestly, I always thought 4 players was too much for these types of games.

For me its perfect ... I play with a regular group of 5 to 6 .. 4 player co-op is pretty much the standard. 3 players feels like a backward step.

I am fine with 3 player. But would be nice to have the option for 4-5-6. 4 is how many I can be sure would likely be on. 5 is possible often. 6 is occasional. But just would be nice.

Maybe the game design dictactes only 3 people, otherwise they had to rebalance or re-design maps, levels, aliens and so on.

Well there is 3 of us that LOVE Alien and this is perfect. I know that there are others that want to play this game in my community. Having an option to have a 4th would be cool.

C'mon dev.. this is not post-apocallyptic themed game.. which find other living person to be your team mate is that hard. What we want is ganking into infested nest/facility such like being drop by transporter with other 6-8 crew mate.

it seems 3 player limit is becoming a trend for a lot online games for whatever weird reason.

Not exactly 'weird'. I'm guessing the industry has findings to back up the fact that a good number of 4-man coop games has a majority of 75% or lower fill up rate unless pre-arranged.

Not saying it's entirely impossible to have a 4th player from what we know so far, but neither you or me is in-charge of Cold Iron so it's a take-it-or-leave-it situation.
