Lol no. The Demo can get up 40% damage bonus on CC'd enemies and can do a radial CC every 5 seconds under max horde ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Not even recon or slow healing station can do that.
Secondly Tech and Doc are broken as hell right now and until CI gets their perks to upgrade correctly, you're literally gimping yourself on purpose.
How about an extra 2170 hp for an ability?

Or maybe it was tested and found that people just got in each others way too much and on the higher difficulties the FF just became too frustrating where as 3 leaves enough routes and paths open for each team member to have a role without feeling crowded or it being a competition amongst the team for kills. as so often happens in 4 player co ops.
i love a lot of player co op games imo l4d2 is still the best of this genre , but i fail to understand the slavish demand for 4 players in everything , it sounds like its 4 man teams asking for it so they can all play together at once rather than people with actual reasons for it being better for the game.
ive played for 40 hours and have yet to be put into a 4 man team , how are you doing it?
The "Fireteam" is similar to "Multiplayer Mass Effect 3". That worked very well with 4 people.
Contrary to other statements, a squad usually has 4 people.
It is also possible to insert more classes, Nobody can be so unimaginative that one cannot accomplish this.

I understand if the game's been balanced, in the end, for three players, but perhaps the devs wouldn't be opposed to investigating alternative modes, difficulties, and etc. to have four players together? Especially if the game's successful enough to warrant new content.
A separate four-player mode could be introduced with its own achievements and the like, with a slightly tougher campaign on all difficulties to match, while retaining the three-player mode for those who really need it.
Or something along those lines.
Would love a proper crouch, too, even with three players, to make more room for attacking enemies around other players.
Every level is done to quickly and its no fun at all, in tight spaces you can see hardly anything, ..and god forbid having 4 flamethrowers in a group!
That was fun but the netcode was weird sometimes xenos were becoming speedsters during the final wave.
The team was 1 demo 2 gunners and me as a reco.

BTW, I've been an Aliens fan since it was released - I was a little kid in 1986 and when I first saw the ads, I knew that I HAD to see that movie.
So I am literally amongst the very earliest fans of Aliens.
