If you don't want to play this because the rootkit anti cheat scares you, then don't..
That was in the past when the game didn't had ways to uninstall the software, they changed it to a tool at some point that you had to download to uninstal it.. They later updated it again that it should be uninstalled if you uninstal the game itself.
Regarding virus warnings, a lot of of those come down to "Trust me bro".. I've had games on my pc for years with different anti cheats including nprotect (From stuff in the past) and barely ever had 1 single anti virus warning... Heck, not even my current pc which i bought last year (So no nprotect on it) triggered those virus warnings.. It does ask the occasional "Want to proceed" but that's about it..
