you can, of course, laugh at people who do not use ice kiting, because it is poison, burning, bleeding ..
what bright future do you expect at the end?
after you complete act 10, many things will become paid for you and the bosses will be even stronger, while you cannot defeat the usual one.
sit better in the storyline and polish your build while it's free.
I beat it with WW+TF which is around 33% weaker than TF by itself.
I was lazy and didn't want to grind levels, so I spent 4 revive scrolls.
True, if your resistence/dps is to low then you wont clear it with a minimal amount of deaths (or 0 deaths at all).
For dps, use a double damage elixir if you got those to make the fight easier.
It's the campaign, you will most likely reach the end when you are supposed to, it's a straight line after all. There isn't anything to polish really, you are just severely underleveled. You can hope for a 5-link, although it's probably not happening at that point. Maybe you picked the wrong constellations, but that requires conscious effort.
You can grind levels, sure, but to be blunt, not only does it take an unreasonable amount of time given that you are trailing 15 levels behind, but the only thing this game has to offer is bosses. Everything in between is straight up boring and I for one refused to repeat it.
Not to mention that the very next thing the game has you doing is a joke anyway. Low level maps are just more of the same fodder, still rewarding pitiful amounts of xp. The only difference is that the end boss is not a boss, it's just a some guy akin to a yellow mob, but this time its health bar is red, oh no. Doesn't even have more health than an elite, random groups are much more dangerous. Thank god for that dps check during the last boss. Did 3 maps and the boss for next level ones, now only 14 levels behind.
There is absolutely no reason for the game to bust your balls and halt your progress with a pointless dps check. There was maybe one more in the whole campaign during Act 7, but even that was heavily depended on rng.
As for "you just farm +10 levels and come back like it's 2007 LOTRO release all over again" - no, thanks, screw the boring numbers farm, I'll better go play 12+ other games I have installed.
The game is effectively a daily login simulator now. But it's not related to paid features - unless you seriously factor those rare $200 equipment pieces in. This is more like a bad management / play-testing than a real attempt to sell me 100s resurrection scrolls for each boss fight.
