im confuse about this file. im browsing on this discussions and all of you guys talking about nprotect/gameguard.

so im wondering is nprotect/gameguard and especially gamemon.des is safe?? bcuz im found 2 gamemon,des in my pc.

1 is in my C:Windows and another is in Steam File Gameguard Folder.:BEsurprise:

It's fine. There's nothing strange going on. It's just an aggressive anti-cheat and you should only be concerned about it if you plan on trying to cheat.

They've recently released a proper uninstaller for it so you can remove it easily if you stop playing the game. There's a news post about it.

I already download that file but the gameguard still in steam folder

You cant remove it if you want to play the game. It will just reinstall it again if you have the game installed. It's not optional, an optional anti-cheat makes no sense at all. If you want play, it needs to be there.

i see i thought u can play even you uninstall nprotect/gameguard. because i see the announcement before that you can uninstall it and play but it not gonna smooth your gameplay.

Why would think that? An anti-cheat is useless if anyone can just decide not to use it.

It doesn't affect performance anyway.
