so true:))))), a true p2w is Diablo Immortal, you are gated by the stupid gems, that give you real power, here even if you throw $$ at the game you will still need to level to max level 100 then you buy gear and you will be a little more powerfull then others, untill they outfarm you if you only play 2-3 hours a day as a whale. There is no paragon level to push there are no gems that give you insane power.
Question is PvP equalised? If not then yeh that part is p2w. Aslong as there is enough content to stay away from it then that don't really bother me tbh. Issue with DI was that PvP was the main aspect due to lack of content.

It's not equalized due to how jewels from the shop add a special stat called resonance. This stat increases your health and damage (plus bonus mods from gems and their skills add to your performance A LOT). The "jewel game" is a very hard barrier to break, even after months of playing it.
But thats not the problem - you need to rng jewels. Yeap, there's actually no certain way to get an item, it's mere luck. People throw in a lot of cash into it to get "mediocre" better than others. Plus, the population of whales is just HUGE compared to other games ( at least 2-3 clans filled with cash throwing players on different levels per server)
Tho, they're moving out of it. It's easier to get jewels now ( at least 20 jewels per month).

PvP is equalized "a little". You're facing people who might have a lot of resonance, even if their basic stats are equal to your own. That doesn't change how dumb they are, literally. You can farm them in PvP :)

Tbh... the worst part of diablo immortals p2w is lack of convenience purchases :( The ones they have are mediocre compared to poe for example.

if it is like poe as in stash tabs i wouldnt call it p2w more like pay for convenience myself. but will find out on the 12th. like if all i need to do is buy a few stash tabs and the crafing tabs not too bothered about the pet as you have auto pickup anyways then i am fine. if you get paywalled at a certain point to progress then yeah sure i'll just stop playing.
you can roll stats to min max for money.

also poe is clearly p2w, but as you say for you its at an acceptable level.
i tried playing poe without premium stashtabs and its not a pleasant experience.
EDIT:
id call poe buy to play since you need like 40-60 bucks for stashtabs and your sorted for life.

not true all i spent in poe was around £20-£30 pounds only bought currency tab map tab essence fragments tab and 1 quad tab i just waited for a sale. 20 -30 is nothing tbh especially when ur playing for more than a mnth played for 3yrs on and off so not that expensive. in my book ,you have buy 2 play games that still want money from you for battle passes, but yeah thats acceptable to some right.? d4 is gonna be buy 2 play too with a bp and a shop but that is acceptable. yet ftp games isnt .

Played all 5 acts. Made it to lvl 43. I thought the game was fun. Playing at 4k 120 fps and buttery smooth.

You don't have to spend anything on a f2p game, but I'll spend money on this one, as I've already gotten 20+ hours of entertainment from it.

Wish he would have went more information about that charm system, which he mentioned is PvM only. That's pretty cool

tbh no point arguing about it , even if it was in plain black and white in the game, they will still say it is p2w.

the game is 100% pay to win for sure but theres varying ways in which its applied this games form of p2w isnt really that bad as you cant directly buy power
All the youtube analysis videos of KR version disagree with your delusional opinion lmao. Yes, you can buy power directly. Educate yourself before you post.

I don't see anyone crying about poe since have pretty much the same stuff in the store.

Lost Ark global is still extremely p2w. Sure, they made a few small changes, but it's still p2w as heck. Some people spent 10k$ and still didn't max out their honing lolz...
man you spend more time on steam discussions than you do actually playing anything, not to mention you are too scared to make your profile public. Go back to reddit, no one said it wasn't p2w. Ofc its going to have p2progress faster mechanics, every asian arpg/mmo does. Why are you so upset and salty about it? Surely theres better things you could be doing than lurking on steam discussions and posting your salt on reddit and twitter I'm sure.

You sound like the biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cringe lord, you keep saying you aren't going to keep explaining to people why they shouldn't buy this 'cash grab' and then continue to whinge over and over, you are literally making yourself look like a sped. Go do something fun, touch grass even. If you aren't capable of accepting people are going to progress faster than you no matter what game you play, why are you even here or on any arpg/mmo. Probably some ex gacha game player who's mad they spent so much. NO ONE CARES, you made your point now move on like a mature person.

You can buy diamonds, change them to rubies, and buy the most OP stuff from the AH, or you can buy mats from the shop to improve your items. If that's not paying for power, then I don't know what is ?
That being said, you can obtain all of that by spending more time in game, so maybe you meant that there is no way to be absolutely more powerful (like buying stuff that you can't get any other way)

Every MMO I've ever played has had some sort of RMT black market. There's always players that are clearly paying even when it's not officially supported. It's annoying and I wish it wasn't the case but I've had plenty of fun in the past even when playing with/against cheaters/payers. I'll still get some fun out of this one as essentially every MMO is p2w opportunity as soon as trading exists.

Do you guys mean "pay to progress"? There's a difference.

paying for power basically it also applies to some convenience like auto looting etc the p2w in this game is in the form of RNG reset scrolls to reset gear stats to try and get them perfect
I've seen the Korean cash shop and I'm yet to see this scroll you keep talking about.

You just woke up my conspiracy theory crafter in me. There is no telling if a near perfect item was listed by a legit player or a Korean developer account that is injecting items to make a profit for the company via rubies... Oh this might be a possibility.
