After ready or not
After playing RoN, this game AI feels clunky af. It feels really bad, poor and unrealistic

Hey! Can you be more specific for us on what you'd like to see improved?

Not trying to hijack a thread but because you're asking. The ability to stack up on an already opened doorway would be nice, a command to open a door without entering would also be nice. And I'm not sure about SOP for the era, but no option to breach, toss a frag, and THEN enter? The breaching seems very simplistic, but again, I don't know what the SOP was here.

Sometimes there is an open entryway/door to a building or room, and it would be nice to get my men stacked up on it, but that doesn't seem to be an option. And being able to have them frag it after a breach before entering would be pretty cool imo.

AI are entering rooms uncoordinated they go one by one, there is also no enough option to enter rooms like with flash or grenade.

There should be also specific order for each AI Role depending on their speciality. Like asking for a suppresive fire, a healing or throwing a smoke for cover or crossing.

Ordering AI to go somewhere is also very inacurrate, there should be also a cover stance where when telling AI to go behind a wall they actually get cover behind a wall and don't stay infront looking at the wall.

Movements also feels off like AI are going too fast and stance is goofy.

Actually, your post should have contained more details, like exactly what felt clunky when it comes to the AI. Not to defend the game but it was a fair thing to ask.

That was after he responded. But when he does respond again, you may not find the answer you are looking for. Because as we know it, improvements are being done and this is EA, so not everything will get fixed in a day or week. I saw the same stuff in RoN forums before it was released.

AI companion was fixed or was always fine on RoN, i'm talking about companion not enemies.

RoN problem was AI enemy.

In reference to what Gunn said, there is a game that has similar mechanics to what they mentioned. Check out Star Wars Republic Commando. The Commandos especially in game and the books were designed to operate like Marines or some sort of Special Forces unit. The devs also talked to active duty and or veterans at the time to model the games AI interaction (issuing orders and how the Commandos assume the commands and or cover/covering fire within the environments) it may not be everything others precisely want but I haven't seen many other games do that so I thought it would be a decent example of it.

Stuff like this worked in old Rainbow 6 games. Should have been the bare minimum.

Appreciate the specifics here. I've made notes for our AI team, but it's worth mentioning we're very focused on addressing bugs in their behavior right now (over new functionality like breaching with flashbangs or individual role commands).

Flashbangs? This is Fallujah, not Chicago. We're talking FRAGS here.
Old Rainbow Six from 1998 had correct single hinged doors, why is that not a thing in Ready or Not?
