I think the new update from Nvidia will allow you to override the default DLSS version with the one you want. It's coming at the end of the month if I am not wrong.

I don’t think it’s as simple as updating the DLSS DLL file. I assume the game needs to be written to it.

I don't believe it's as easy as flipping a switch, but I'll poke the team about this. Thanks, guys.

sorry. i know dlss implementation isnt as easy as dragging it into your games files. I just hope this game can get the awesome support of dlss 4 new transformer model!

Gotta say I as of yet don t understand the use of DLSS in Six Days at this time in the Early Access release. There are VERY little actual High Res Textures in the game as of yet. So until there is...... using DLSS is more of a placebo effect . Now if and When the Devs release a High Res Texture pack, then I can see DLSS use being effective. .... and it be an actual performance/visuals benefit. Imho we are too early yet. We need to see a much fuller featured game candidate release package. And so we are playing the waiting game. ;p Imho opinion of course. End of 2025. ;p

artifacting, noise, and latency problems are alllllll valid reasons to upgrade to dlss 4. not just for blurry high res textures.

I think you need to start with actual High Res Textures imo. The point is for those with lower res monitors to upscale to 4 K. Ya can`t create 4 K textures if there are none. But hey....... I may be mistaken in this. At any rate, we do not have actual High Res Textures at the moment. And I look forward to when the Devs actually drop the High Res Goods on us. I know the Unreal 4 Engine can deliver MUCH better visuals than we are seeing atm. ;p

High res textures may be needed but that's a completely different discussion from upgrading to DLSS 4. If game supported, DLSS can provide a 4X FPS boost. DLSS 4 runs five separate AI models for each rendered frame when using Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and Multi-Frame Generation. All RTX GPU's should work with DLSS 4.

I had to check this again. This is what I picked up from Nvidia's reddit, that was posted 16 days ago.

"For games that support Super Resolution and you have RTX 20, 30, 40, or 50 series you can force override to new transformer model. Also you can force DLAA and DLSS Ultra Performance even if the games do not have the DLAA and Ultra Performance options (but the game needed to support Super Resolution)"

So if 6DIF uses DLSS 2 or 3, we can force it to use DLSS 4 or even DLAA.
