Horrid stuttering
The game is great, it would be a lot better if it ran well. While i don't have the greatest PCin the world (RX 6650XT, Ryzen 5 5600g, 32GB RAM), this performance in unacceptable. FSR is basically required for the game to run above 30 fps, and even with it enabled, I keep experiencing horrible lag spikes where the fps drops below 40, and even when it does run at 60fps, it keeps getting interrupted by constant s-s-stuttering. If there's no fix to this and it's just how the game was coded, I might just hold off from playing it until the devs get their ♥♥♥♥ together.

It's worth noting you're floating somewhere between minimum and recommended specs. I'll report back to the team, but can you be more specific on when the stuttering occurs: is this consistent (ie, all the time) or does it drop at certain moments in gameplay (ie, ADS'ing)?
I'm playing at 1080P, when ADS-ing it always loses frames, stuttering occurs basically every time I turn the camera. Not to mention frequent jumps to 40FPS. Saw a benchmark from a year ago where the game (without FSR and max graphics) ran at like 70-80FPS. Such a shame tho. From the 3 hours I've played I loved everything about It, I just can't tolerate the inconsistent FPS. I can see this becoming one of my favorite FPS of all time as soon the optimization is improved.
I know that the recommended GPU is an RTX 3070, but I'm guessing that's for 1440P players? You can't seriously expect 1080P player to buy a 1440p GPU just to play your game
I also meant to say i have a Ryzen 7 5700g, not an 5600g

If your GPU supports the "Foveated Scope" setting, please try lowering this.

We've since integrated a graphics update that is more cost intensive on machines, especially GPUs. It's more costly to run the game than a year ago.

Truth be told, the 3070 isn't the latest and greatest anymore. This is the recommended card for good performance. With that being said, optimization work is ongoing as we continue development through Early Access.
tried the foveated scope, while it fixed the ADS-ing lag, the FPS still regularly drops below 60FPS and stutters when i tur the camera
is there any specific setting i can tone down to boost performance or am i basically just screwed
See what autodetect graphics option sets for you, for me it puts everything in low, i put medium settings and it works stable, 65 fps and with DLSS 75-85 fps, 1080p ultra wide, i7 8700 + RTX 2070 overclocked. If you use Nvidia app to optimize the settings don't use it. It will put everything on ultra but these are valid only before the november's RTX graphic update.
It sets everything to high/medium, FSR on, but frame drops still regularly occur, as well as stuttering. It seems like the game performs better on Nvidia cards as opposed to AMD. This is something I have noticed in most Unreal Engine games, AMD seems to be left in the mud. How are you getting 65 FPS without DLSS? I Barely hit 30 without FSR on medium, and manage to somehow get 60 with everything set to low, but it frequently drops to 40. Does overclocking make a big difference?
Just overclocked my GPU, set everything to medium, turned off foveated scope, turned FSR to performance, FPS still drops to 40, stuttering still happens. Guess I'll just wait until the game is playable.
Without DLSS it varies between 55-65 fps. I suspect the stuttering is caused by the raytracing. When i turn on the flashlights inside large buildings, fps drops to 40-45. Your card has worse raytracing performance than mine.
And the devs didn't bother giving us an option to turn the raytracing off? If that's the case, that essentially means a giant ♥♥♥♥ you to AMD users. However, I don't really get framne drops when using the flashlight, it just randomly occurs when playing.
Unfortunately, I played the game longer than 2 hours so I can't even return it. Could've bought something like Ready Or Not, but I guess my retarded ass thought to give this game a shot.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply for us. I'm taking this to the rest of the team so we can dig deeper into more optimizations.
Any news when the next update is coming? Cause honestly I can't wait to keep playing.
