Worth the current discount?
Having come from playing Arma and games like Insurgency Sandstorm, I'm wondering if this game is worth its price tag. Additionally, does it offer a good environment for social interaction, free from the typical Call of Duty player mentality?

I bought the game Nov. 30th and have put in 45 hours since. Suffice to say, I think it's worth the money despite the early access status. The game kinda reminds me of the old Medal of Honor games mixed with some Brothers in Arms, but in a modern setting. It just got its first campaign mission, and has 8 missions for co-op/solo play with a variety of options like gameplay modifiers and some control over the procedural generation variables.

As for the player mentality, I don't think you'll find too many of the cod types in the game. I've mostly played solo with AI teammates though, but the matches I have played in co-op I only encountered one dude who ran off to play Rambo. He died almost instantly too.

You can play co-op with friends or randoms, or you can play solo with a controllable AI fireteam. I find that the AI fireteam is generally pretty reliable (I'd say like 85% of the time), but seeing as they are bots there will obviously be times when they don't work like you'll want them to.

The game does have some bugs and some performance issues, but I run it pretty well with some medium/high settings. I have a 3070, Ryzen 5 3600, and 16gb of RAM for reference.

I have gameplay of the first 4 missions on hard on my YT under the same name if you want to see the AI in action and get a feel for the game.

Thanks for the comment. I've got a 7950X and a 4090, so performance shouldn't be an issue. I just checked SteamDB, and there are only 341 players globally playing this game, which is less than the followers on my Instagram account that I haven't touched in two years. This is quite discouraging; with such a small player base, it's hard to see why developers would invest further time, money, and effort into a game without a substantial fan base to support it. I think I will give this one a miss, just based on the numbers and the fact its early access.

Seems to me you made up your mind before posting the OP. So what is it, the player population or the price? The game has a great single player component and the price of a game doesn't make it better or worse.

it will not be any cheaper than it is right now, for a long, long time. if you plan to get this in the next few years, now is the best time.

The issue is that the player base is so small that it barely matches Sunday church attendance, which likely means less community interaction, fewer updates, and a risk of the game not lasting long - but thanks for the comments.

The community for this game is very loyal. They will stick around because there is nothing else quite like this. The game is also amazing to play solo kinda like RoN is. This is a very safe buy.

Jumping in to say that we don't have any plans of going anywhere. Six Days is a passion project for us, and while we have a lot of work to do, we're excited for the future.

After just buying today and playing x2 hours with freinds. I can say with confidence this is a hell of a game . Nothing like it on the market honestly and the procedural stuff is awsome

GJ , 0 regrets buying and cant wait to see finished product
