Make weapon more dirty as mission goes on
This would be really cool and add to the immersion perhaps this could also be part of a weapon cleaning feature.

This does happen, when it's a sandstorm.

please don't start with the whole "make us clean our weapons"

i can't stand games that overdo this. a weapon can be fired literally hundreds of times before it will even really start to jam except in extreme cases.

edit: unless you mean VISUALLY which is already represented

...and you don't want this to happen in that EXTREME situation.
Which games overdo this exactly? I am asking for a friend.

Exactly this is an extreme situation and these weapons HAVE been fired LiTeRaLlY hundreds of times. IDK what this guy is talking about NO games try to even touch weapon jamming or weapon cleaning except for DAYZ and people love that me included.

I just realized this after playing a sandstorm mission but it would make sense if it got even more dirty if near an explosion or if it got blood on it from an injury, i forget what games do this but theres a few... battlefield 1 is the only i can remember atm covers the weapon in mud and during explosions and stuff.

many. you shoot like once and the gun is busted beyond use lol and it jams constantly. can't stand games that do this.

you know guns are made to be used under stress right? especially ours. even AKs are known for being robust and rugged. i own ar15s, aks, ww2 bolt actions (several as a matter of fact), shotguns, handguns, etc. they are all much more robust than people believe from just playing video games

i know this because i have personally stress tested some (mud, dirt, sand) and have been shooting/maintaining/etc for years and years. likely longer than some here have been alive

and trust me, weapon maintenance is important in the military. multiple relatives told me that and one of them is his company's armorer. they clean and maintain them so they DON'T need to clean them during combat. that's ridiculous.

we do not need to take apart and clean our weapons on the field. that is beyond asinine

visually, sure, mechanically, no lmao. these missions take 15 min max most of the time. i don't want to be f-ing with cleaning a rifle while under fire. that's beyond silly

this isn't dayz btw

how about we make it so if you don't follow orders, you actually have to go peel potatoes or clean the toilet for an hour. that's the level that we are getting to here
