Character Customization?
Was thinking the idea to make a little more enjoyment with the game to make characters seem a bit more unique and players can make their own unit.

Like, not Cod style stuff but like Insurgency MIC.
Being able to alter the look of our USMC Characters.
> Change vest preset placement of gear.
> Shirt style (Rolled up or not, loose or tucked)
> Voice options.
> Glasses / Goggles options. (option for glasses or Goggles on the face or helmet.)
> Helmet patches or attachments (Front medkit / ammo pouch, insignia, patches or goggles)
> Neck gear such as scarfs or shallahs.
> Glove choices (None, Fingerless or full)
> Boots tucking toggle (Tucked or Untucked)
> Character head selection with small facial hair options (Mainly mustache types or stubble. Beards are not allowed by Marine dress code, unless medical reasons.)
> Arm patches tied to achievements or levels, and campaign missions.
> Baclava / Face mask (Against dress code but people still wore them)
This is mainly just small additions or cosmetic to your loadout. Nothing like Insurgency where you'll be running around in Polo shirts and jeans.

Mabye some special characters that are unlockables, like being able to play as the campaign cast by completing certain missions and they got bios about them in place of the menu cause their not customizable. But offer unique voices and looks.

Absolutely.
One thing kind of strikes me: Why do the pre-rendered sequence characters, gears and especially faces, look so much better, than we got in game?
I maxed everything out, but man, I am not even getting close to those character details.
Please make those character models (and textures) at least OPTIONAL. I am pretty sure that these can be handled by high(er) end PCs without problems.

This is great feedback for us. We've seen similar threads in the past, but I'll get these details to the team.

By pre-rendered sequence, are you referring to the cinematics?

You could maybe also add a mechanic that makes high level player gear look more worn out while the FNGs get clean uniforms like in Red Orchestra 2 and Rising Storm (2)

OMG, where is the facepalm emoji when I need one!!! Sure, go ahead and be different and look different from others in your unit. You'll be the first one to get shot.

These kinds of requests are so silly, and just the opposite of how it is/was in an Infantry fighting unit.

Yeah because Marines always get to pick what they wear in country... Catch a field grade court martial for not wearing issued gloves sounds fun. Semper Fly

Literally. Myself and the other squad leaders had issued suppressors on deployment. Only went on at night. Never want to be noticed in a crowd.

What infantry unit did you serve in where you didn't get a choice of eye protection, or tucking or untucking your boots, or where you didn't have people with different faces lmao.

Guys, chill.
This idea isn't some Insurgency Sandstorm type of customization where you'll be running around in polos and jeans or having russian gear. lmao

It's gear placement and just head / voices. It ain't gonna be stuff like bright camos or missing your armor.
Although it would be cool to have some Vest color options like Woodland for a DLC or something, to resemble Infantry.
It's basically just making your USMC guy look different somewhat to the other players, or personalized.
Want 2 pouches instead of 4 on your side? Want grenades on your chest? Want your goggles down? Some cool shades or tac glasses? Full hand protection with some Gloves or no gloves? (Also a majority of USMC during Fallujah had either no gloves or flight gloves, some having fingerless)
Mabye a watch on your wrist?
Kneepad options?
Just sorta those options.
It's just for people who want some slight unique looks, and the unlockable character ideas is being able to play as the Real Life Marines from the campaign, if it's possible as a reward for completing the scenarios.

Also, it's a videogame based on real life events, it doesn't have to be 100% on-point accurate on the Multiplayer side.
Ain't no Soldier standing up after getting shot by 100s of rounds and just getting a bandage on their arm :theskull:

Sounds like a interesting idea, or Unit patch options for leveling up. Like a 7th Special Forces arm patch or different Marine units you can decorate your left arm with, or rank insignias.

Yes, referring to the cinematics.

I used to wear a skull mask sometimes. It was against the rules. Nobody cared. It wasn't a big deal. I also used my own grenade pouches, I had my own ballistic sunglasses that I bought and had my own Oakley gloves. I stopped blousing my boots sometimes and rolled up my sleeves however I wanted. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1424296212

But the units back in the rear were very strict about that stuff though. They had plenty of time for strict inspections and silly games.
